Kakamega Forest is located in Western part of Kenya. It is approximately 380 kilometres from the capital city Nairobi. Expect to see indigenous trees and lots of monkey species including the carnivore monkeys. It has well paved forest trails and camping facilities. There is also an airstrip if you prefer flying to traveling by road. The KWS has set up guest houses if camping isn't your Forte.
