Nwifuru has spoilt the roads, he decided to coat the rigid concrete pavement roads that Umahi built with asphalt but now there are so many more potholes because of the poor quality work done. Before asphalting all the roads were smooth and potholes rarely seen. All the same Umahi's roads and infrastructure is just awesome and makes my own state Anambra appear like a backwards village. Our governor is a very unserious somebody only interested in propaganda and eye-service.

It has been the culture, dumping of refuse by the roadside just that the environmental guys work more regularly that we didn't notice it, now they ain't as often as previously.

The past Governor did his bit in uplifting the infrastructure of the state and positioning the state to be the center for commerce and Development. The current governor has his own road map to uplift the state's manpower development and industry, revitalising moribund industries, empowering the masses with lots of capital interventions thereby improving the IGR and Per capital income of it's citizens. The New Airport is set to commence flight in August, and with the much anticipated launch of Ebonyi Air. The state has positioned itself as the number one destination point in the south east and old Eastern part of Nigeria (South-east + South-south). Keep your eyes glued to Ebonyi state.

The commissioner is doing his job, their is now a monthly sanitation exercise , this is part of the effort to ensure the environment is neat and tidy. It's not usually for the government to do it all. Everyone living in the state must support the government in their effort to build the state.

@@CaptainLawrence-oo7pj have you asked yourself why, instead of spilling your emotions and bad energy? You hate them because you feel inferior to them, but I understand how tough it is to say that. Get over your feelings. For God's sake, this is a city where pregnant women are spotted carrying heavy head pans at construction sites. Haba. Bro, you've got problems in the city that needs your attention, not Anambralites and Imolites. I love all Igbo people. Your hate won't change anything. Only you need to change yourself. Lots and lots of Ebonyian men are not industrious. Are you one of them? The women are more industrious and actually bread winners in their homes. SMH! Somebody needs to start addressing this serious problem to have the men situp and step up their diligence.

I like Abakaliki. There are plenty of good roads and you see the efforts to improve the place. And another attractive factor is that most people here are physically fit from regular exercise, healthy diets and strong work ethics although I dislike the idea of women doing jobs men are supposed to be doing like construction jobs. One key area of improvement that I noticed is that the houses even in the rich side of town are too boring looking, lack styling and sophistication. The houses look like bunch of square shapes with doors and windows and all look alike. The city needs fresh ideas and direction in terms of architectural designs and layouts. Nicer buildings usually attract new residents and businesses also. I know it will get better and become one of the best cities in the country. It will shock a lot of people even Ebonyians.
