Yes, some people are really frightened by them, therefore call them creepy. Pediophobia, or the fear of dolls, is believed to be a type of automatonophobia, or fear of humanoid figures. Some people are afraid of all dolls and stuffed toys, while others fear only a specific type. Dolls that talk or move and old-fashioned china dolls are especially common targets of fear.

Oh my! This is my dream estate sale! I would have been loading up my car. This looks like my mother's or my house about 20 yrs ago. We both restored old dolls. She sold them at doll shows and I sold them on Ebay. I would have asked for a price on all of them. Some weren't worth much and some were expensive. I get annoyed at people saying dolls are creepy. I don't watch that type of movies. Dolls teach little girls to be nurturing mothers. Thanks for sharing this!

Phenomenal~This will take a few viewings~wish price tags had been visible~ Fell in love with the grandma doll~ some touched my heart~some were spooky~ all were incredible. Wish you could go thru it all, tell what you know, what they are made from, what the prices were~ I could have visited here 6 or 11 more times! Dang, you could sell a ton~ thanks so much!

Any with tags were leftover from an antique store. None of them were priced. I really don't know that much about dolls. Just go with what I like. 💜 It was sooo overwhelming, but in a good way! 😂

Amazing collection! After you first said that one looked like a mannequin or store display doll, I totally agreed. Lots of them looked like maybe they were for display in a store front. Maybe the person worked for or had a connection to a department store. Or she would make the dolls for store displays according to what was needed and change out the hair and outfit? Thanks for taking us along, that was a one of a kind estate sale!

That lady must have had a shop and restored dolls. There were some nice antique German dolls, Chatty Cathys, and Patti Playpals but a lot of newer and repros. I don't know what prices they had but if they were high, they will sit there.

The Patti Playpal dolls can be worth a lot! And the PP clothes new in the box!!! 🤑

Also I think we may have a similar mentality with dolls, the more horrific, unwanted, damaged and unloved, the more beautiful. I’d save my uglier ones first from a fire opposed to my pretty ones 😂

I got a doll yesterday that is Victorian it has teeth, I Love her, she is a German doll, wooden body, beautiful porcelain face. I have a dolls face myself, I think I look more like the generic modern dolls, but yeah I collect the antique ones when I can.

The prices on them were from when they had them for sale in an antique store. She gave much better prices at the estate sale. All the proceeds went to her granddaughters college fund. 🥰

Honestly I don't know, but I would assume , whether inches or cm, you should still be able to get the right size if you take measurements into consideration.

As a doll expert... well I see quite a few I would have picked up... you first picked up the boy doll that is exactly like one I have that was my own play doll when I was a child...but you didn't buy him. I saw you walk quickly past the real valuable Antiques... still watching, I wonder if you went back for any of those. Oh my God at 3:10 on the video four Antique dolls worth several hundred each, and at 11:34 on the video you touched an Antique doll with a human hair wig with long ringlets... the wig alone is worth $250.00 easily... At 12:33 another Antique German doll with human hair wig, I can't imagine leaving those behind... but, oh well... and the boy you got... He is valuable... made from a kind of canvas that is painted over by hand. Yes, he is worth something for sure.

If you watch the haul video, I spent about $500 there! I bought a river of dolls! I definitely am no expert, but she had such great prices, that I ended up going back everyday and buying more! 🤩 I was so overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude at first! 😳
