Just wanna say that there actually was one more two-unit focus banner. Ogma and Robin's new power banner. Their refines were released with the whitewing sisters, so instead of having a five man banner, the split it up into 3 and 2.

Hello! I loved this video and I would love to give my little contribution in case you're interested in making a sequel. It's a lore/story mode related fact, but it's interesting nonetheless. In short: I was reading the Book 4 script in Japanese and found out that some things were cut from the English translation due to being too gruesome (and possibly mentioning child a boss) In chapter 9-4, when Lady Frejya is comforting Triandra about her time as a human previous to becoming a dark elf, she talks about how Triandra and Peony were left starved and exposed to the cold by their cruel step-father before Triandra killed him. However, a line in the Japanese script cut from the English (and as far as I checked, the Italian, Spanish and German versions as well) says that their step-father also used to "hit their faces" and as result, Triandra lost her eyesight in order to protect Peony from being beaten. [Which she couldn't tough; she believes her father killed Peony by beating her, because Peony had actually drank the dream nectar to become a light elf, so she killed him in retaliation]. So this might be the reason her right eye is concealed by her hair. Pretty graphic stuff for a game about big tiddy fairies, uh. This is a very fun video! I didn't know about the red X glitch yet. The fact that resplendent lucina is at the bottom of the iceberg rather than more near the top, makes me think it's referring to the fact that the artist who drew resplendent lucina has also drawn similar childlike looking characters in skimpy outfits and people started harassing the artist over that and it basically became a huge moral discourse in the feh community for a few days. Not the best days to be in the fandom.

As a longtime fan of Yuji Himukai's work from the Etrian Odyssey games, I'm sincerely baffled that such a thing happened. Everyone tends to look pretty young in his artstyle, and the very primitive EO1 art especially was outright chibi (and frankly, not up to his current standards). As ever, internet discourse about presumed age is brain-rottingly idiotic.

To be fair, the artist HAS drawn legit lolicon in previous works. I don’t condone the harassment because that does literally nothing to remedy the situation, and the fact that people kept equating it to real child porn, which hurts REAL victims of CP. But personally it’s still a little skeevy and I wouldn’t really summon or use Heroes he’s drawn. Again, just a personal thing and I don’t expect other people to do the same, nor do I judge them.

Nice video! Back when I used to play FEH one of my favorite glitches was the audio bug that would occur if you tried to open the game while playing other audio on your phone. It would make all the in game audio to play in a slower and deeper tone until you restarted the app. I wouldn’t be shocked if IS fixed this bug, but I hope it’s still present in the game. Hearing all the character’s glitched voice lines never failed to make me chuckle.

This video was great! I don’t know if anyone mentioned these but some stuff I thought would make good adds to an iceberg would be, the Quests and Missions menu saying you had a number of rewards in the little red diamond but they were actually feh pass only and you couldn’t get them, other leaks like Legendary Julia in the news menu screen, FEH owl voice actor change, and Jorge botted in CYL. That’s all have a nice day :)

I remember that Berkut's lance was used a lot when Berkut was new, on other units than Berkut it seemed so strange that everyone was using his lance Brave Camilla does look really good tho, despite she has way to much alts. I did play way to much 3 Houses on launch and started with male Byleth. Byleth having another voice actor was a little strange, but i did get used to it quickly.

Another honorable mention would be the Rally+ skill glitch back when the Bridal Tharja banner was released where you could teleport the Rally+ unit off the face of the map and essentially soft lock yourself in a map with your only option to quit out of it.

some cool things i dont think have been mentioned CYL 1 units being briefly random enemies in training tower / tempest trials etc for like a few days green IVs for tharja / ny azura / ny camilla / valentines hector green pixel on linus narcian is the best whitewing sister (after he won a twitter poll for a free unit competing against est palla, and catria) The SI glitch of 2018 or 2019 where if under certain conditions, your units would just lose skills they inherited, IS laid out what the cause was and then gave people hefty compensation by giving the 5* units or smth ppl had foddered and then lost said fodder for to effected people

If you end up making a 3rd, some things that I would include Dragalia Lost crossover: In 2019 and 2020, Dragalia Lost had crossover events with FEH, where you could get Alfonse, Marth, Veronica, and Fjorm in 19 and Sharena, Tiki, Peony, and Chrom in 20. A!Tiki alts: While Young Tiki has gotten a large amount of Alts, her Adult form has only gotten 1 in the form of a summer alt in 2017. This has led to people wanting more alts of Adult Tiki, so much that she got #1 in CYL 2022 to "force" IS to give her one. Winter Tharja/Robin: The images for them were discovered the day after launch, but we're released until Winter 2017

The real, real controversy with Resplendent Lucina, is that the artist in question has made lol*con doujinshi. A portion of the community really wanted Nintendo to stop collaborating with this artist for a very long time now because of that. The fact that he made Resplendent Lucina's art only made the situation with the already existing dislike towards that artist worse.

Many of the artists who have done art for FEH have drawn all kinds of hentai. Heck Homura Fool drew Eremiya who has drawn his fair share of messed up hentai and no one was up in arms over his art's inclusion. The disrespect and hatred towards Himukai was unwarranted.

I remembered what really happened when 2019 summer banner with summer Laegjarn and stuff got leaked. They had to delay the banner trailer to the day of the banner due to an earthquake. Later that day, the banner got leaked.

I left around when Feh pass released, and it’s always weird to hear how much has changed since then.

The only thing I can remember that I think would fit really well here would be Ayra's release. Datamines were suggesting she was going to be a free unit aside from the other 4 units released but when the time came she was released on a banner with 2 older units as focus (one sharing her color lmao) it didnt help that she had like the best spd in the game and I think was the first SS unit

Resplendent Lucina might be one of the best artworks in the entire game. Everything about it is wonderful from the coloring to the shading to her poses. It's really sad that just because Himukai's style portrays female characters as younger than usual angered so many people.

It was F Ninja Corrin who won the Voting Gauntlet where Duo Azura and Fallen Edel were, I remember being extremely frustrated for once again a Ninja Unit winning the voting, since Ninja Lyn was the most voted on the previous year.

I just stumbled upon this and it's funny I haven't paid much attention to the game in the last year or so, but I'm very much in the deepest recesses of the iceburg. I talk about the $1000 Hector and Byleth VA changes whenever relevant with friends for example.

Said it in the last iceberg but I wanna say here as well. Another thing that happened in the games history was that in order for a unit to be promoted, they had to be at least level 20. Only then would they have the permission to be promoted. Wasn't until later, I wanna say just before they introduced manuals, that they made it so there is no level requirement.

If you do another one of these I would mention that the Scythe of Sariel uses axe animations despite being a lance, and additionally, dark creator sword is (I believe) the only weapon name too long to fit in the UI and was shortened to dark creator s. Another fun one is that you used to have to level heroes to 20 before increasing rarity.

I always love the meme with Olwen 0X4 because I use her on my Cav line and so many people fall for this trap, as they just leave any unit or try to tank her with a giant stat ball unit thinking they'll see 0X4 but instead they get a rude awakening when they see Olwen doing 32X4. Others i remember: 0 xp and sp on death Resonant battles 3 tries (tho not sure if you mentioned it on the last vid) I vaguely recall this but I remember sacred seals were hard to refine back in the day but don't remember why Bounty skills GHB costing stamina and story maps scaling stamina cost

I'm pretty sure I remember having Byleth be voiced by Chris Niosi in-game for a brief period of time before it was hotfixed shortly after the banner released. Also I'm surprised that you only really covered that the resplendant Lucina art was panned mostly for its childlike depiction and not as much about the history of the artist that created it and how that stirred even more controversy.

Another one I can think of is the brief period of time that some units had visible boons before boons/banes were supposed to be visible. Instead of the name of the stat showing up in blue text like it is today, the color of the stat number itself was green. Don't remember every unit that had this quirk, but I know for certain that at least New Years Camilla did, so it was units released around that time. This was supposedly a bug, but something tells me they were testing how to make that information presentable and forgot to switch it off before releasing some characters.

The first winter banner was leaked before the game was released. Or at least Winter Tharja, I don't remember well.

Two things that I found that are quite interesting... Radiant Dawn hasn't received a New Heroes Banner in over 3 years, with its last New Heroes banner featuring Caineghis, Ranulf, Lethe and Mordecai. And the other thing I found; despite the fact that she rightfully deserves to win CYL 7, not enough people are willing to vote for Heather from Radiant Dawn for CYL 7.

the reason why a lot of people didn't wanted camilla for CYL 3 was because Camilla was the character with the most alts of the whole game by far. she had like 6 or 7 alts when the 2nd best one had probably like 4 or 5 alts at best, not because they specifically hated camilla.

Thinking of those quality of life improvements. I'd be happy to get a "back" button or an "edit team anytime" button.

Clarisse's Bow and Legion's Axe are both weapons from New Mystery of the Emblem tho

I really hated the Camilla thing as a genuine fan of hers. At the time, the angry people were acting as if she never would have won if it weren't for those troll votes despite her always ranking high. And I got into several arguments where people were trying to explain how voting just for Camilla to win isn't the same thing as voting for Micaiah just for her to lose, even though that is quite literally the exact same situation. They were trying to seem morally right. The Fire Emblem fandom is always like this. Anyway, I waited years for her to win and when it was finally her turn, the whole thing just sucked so bad. Sad times

Plenty of artists who have done artwork for feh draw their fair share of obscense hentai. Himukai is not an outlier as many of the artists simply draw whatever they want.

Yep the time when we couldn’t choose and got legendary lyn did us in so bad I was so pissed off I complain a lot but at the moment I hate aether raids and the horse meta we have we so need a movement ploy to stop horses in aether raids.

Voting gauntlets often made no sense to me... it had adjusted rates for the losing one. Like what? Is that how voting works? Is that how Biden won the election lol cuz he was losing and got adjusted rates? If you didn't vote Camilla in voting gauntlet idk what's wrong with you. Next was when I finally got the chance to summon for zelgius and how disappointing it was when I thought yeah he going to steam roll anything except for maybe mage units. This is like a facts video.

A lot of the posts about resplendent lucina were more of a smear campaign than anything else, such as the obligatory conflating of loli with children without giving real proof. In fact, that IS how adults look in the EO artstyle.

The absolute hatred and vitriol that was directed to Yuuji Himukai was just sad. He's an amazing artist and so many people simply don't understand that his art style makes female characters appear younger when within the context of his own, Resplendent Lucina looks like a young adult woman. He's a very talented artist and is very capable of all kinds of depictions of male and female characters whether they are young, adult or old. He simply has an affinity to draw cute anime girls. Also, just because he draws NSFW lolicon art isn't grounds to slander him or crusade to have Nintendo stop working with him. Many other artists who have done art for FEH draw all kinds of NSFW art but he was simply singled out because he drew Lucina in the way he draws young women. You'd be surprised by the stuff many of the artists have drawn that the same people who attacked Himukai would also find in poor taste.

I wanna add for the Lucina Resplendent that the artist is known for making, uh, well, a certain genre of anime art that includes female characters who look just like children in "certain" situations, which only fueled the hate for the Lucina art and makes all his art 100% weirder with this context and the fact he makes every character look like a child. Actually this artist is hated by a big part of the community, which makes me wonder why Intsys or Nintendo haven't taken him out yet, probably there's a contract or something of the sort.
