Hah, just commented on the previous video then found this one. A bit ironic I suppose. A good reason why you would want to know the proper service area is to allow you to be *more lenient* on your opponent's position. If you believe they cannot touch the line, you will be more attentive to their position when they are close to the line for no reason. This adds an extra distraction when you should instead be focusing on how you will receive their legal serve.

Controversial serve is right. Never was a problem until some idiots decided to change the serve rules. Always will be controversial because of the changes. Happening in all sports now and it's making officials have a harder time pleasing the players. Officials should have made the players play by the rules and the intent of the rules when they were made. Otherwise why make any rules if you unless you don't have an intention for the rule in the first place. Rules do matter. Otherwise why have them?

They are saying some rules are unenforceable don’t get hung up on certain mechanical elements…. Like are you serving above the waist….. how do you enforce it if it’s borderline? Force someone to serve shirtless? It can be daunting especially for new people so rather get someone hung up that might otherwise give up the game out of gear because of the tiny things to just be good enough. Obviously people with OCD probably have a harder time…😂

If I see it I call it, that does for the serve or any other rule.

The pro Pickleball associations - all of em - are totally screwing the pooch on this. There is a very very very SIMPLE solution. Outlaw the Volley serve - bounce serves only - Bam - all of these issues disappear - and you get a better more "fair" game that is much easier to referee!

There is no way that “let” balls should be played! How difficult is it to reserve? Who makes these idiotic decisions? Follow the pro rules. Tennis doesn’t discriminate pro versus amateur rules!
