It is a fair practice as there are many team members at the 'back -of-the house' who are contributing to the good services indirectly, and who are not in direct contact with the guest. The back of the house team are mostly the unsung heroes. So it is unfair to just tip those in direct contact with the guest. Iam talking about hotel chains worldwide who care well for their team members.
