A Day on the Farm #22 | New Place for our Chickens

As usually I start the day with morning milking of our cows.
Then I fill a loading-wagon tire with air. It has deflated over winter due to the bent rim, which we later straightened out. I move our mower and loading-wagon down into empty 3rd silo.
We put some of the machines under the silo roof over the winter to keep them in shelter and out of the way.
Then we filled up our house storage with woodchips and cleaned some waterways with frontloader.
In the fall we made a new chicken house. Now we put up a fence behind our silos and prepared a place to keep our 19 hens there. We had them inside till now and they look satisfied with their new place.
Thanks for watching!

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I want to share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M.We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.

Always impressed with your diligence in keeping everything neat and tidy. I noticed the solar panels. Do you have battery storage system for the energy collected? What breed of cattle do you have? It's good to see the chickens one the soil. Much better quality eggs. The wood chip heating system seams ideal to me. God bless you and your family❤

@@farmerspov4709 I remember from my 4-H and FFA days in high school, back in the 50s and early 60s, that Jerseys and Gernseys (spelling wrong) Lol... had a pretty high butterfat content. How do the breeds you have compare?
