A Day on the Farm #20
In this A day on the farm video you can see us trying to mix slurry in the pit. We didn't get much rain this winter so the material is pretty thick and our stirrer can't get to mix it so we added 6 or 7 loads of rainwater to dilute it. We get it from our tower silo that we adapted for storing rainwater, which we collect from the roof of the barn.
In the meantime we took some wood to the sawmill where they made us some wooden beams.
We removed some trees and fallen branches from the field.
We tied one cow to the bed to get used to lying on it.
I end the video with evening chores in the barn.

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I want to share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M.We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.

Early riser looking out side his stetson hat on and drinking a cup of hot coffee wow that makes my day . Now his bib duck hat. Going to milk cows. Why do you spray down the milk barn before milking ?How many times you switch the cow’s in another pasture? Looks like your going to build or repair building? Your manure pit is clog up that will take awhile to unclog. That is how we uses to do it giving medicine to cows.

I wet the tiles so the dirt doesn't stick on 😉 we change pasture every week or week and a half. We repaired the roof on some wooden shed 😉

@@farmerspov4709 we are fine, fuel is expensive as hell but thats pretty much our only problem. Today its finally raining, much needed. Its pretty dry here but nature is awaking slowly. Spring is around the corner. ✌

Thank you 🙂 Hh, seems you guys like it, I'm going to have to start wearing it more 😁 Well we don't really have calving order, its very random, we had many from October to November and only three from January till now, the next one is planned at the end of March 😉
Do you have a coop to sell the milk to and buy feedstuffs from? Are the roads you travel around your farm, are they public roads or are they yours privately? Thanks.

Silos je temeljito opran, otvor zaliven betonom i sve je ožbukano vodonepropusnom žbukom Hidrostop 😉
Katero snemalno opremo uporabljaš (dron, kamera,...)?

We milk 1 hour, 36 cows currently. Machine creates vacuum, milking units squeeze teats and extract milk that is pumped into milk tank 😉

Hey man why dont you wear that cowboy hat? Are you really a city boy/man in disguise just kidding you need a work cowboy hat I watch alot of farms they are all talking fertilizer so high will have to keep hitting the fields with slurry
