love the chestnut that follows him like a little puppy

Good afternoon. In my country we used to call Outriders "Policías de Pista" which literally means in english "Racetrack Police Officers" or "Racetrack Cops" Robert Love is an unsung heroe of horse racing. What an important job he does. Mister Love deserves a public respect and recognition. Greetings from a venezuelan citizen who emigrated to Chile searching a better way of life.

Looks like he's got some kick ass ponies as well.

Scooter (the dark one) is very kick ass. He has retired from being an outrider pony as of last October, and has lived a life of being spoiled ever since. He didn't like the race track, so Rob sent him off to a home where he would be happier.

Robert love's pony was also has a Part in the legendary catch he made what a great team they made

What an awesome pony. I love a horse in a plain red wrapper.

The dark horse Rob is seen riding in this video has retired from the racetrack to live with me. He didn't like the racetrack so Rob sent him to me where he now lives a happy life being lazy and spoiled.

Outriders ride ex-racehorses such as Rob’s big chestnut. Most people who are not in the racing game don’t realize that racing quarter horses have a tremendous amount of thoroughbred blood in them and as much as 7/8ths. Rarely do Thoroughbreds run quarter mile races. But they actually hold the quarter mile record. Winning Brew recently broke the record a few years ago that had been held by a thoroughbred for many years. Outriders use thoroughbreds because of their stamina and speed. I have owned both these breeds for 40 plus years.

The racehorses have to maintain over a much longer distance than a quick 20m sprint to catch a loose horse

Maybe his horse is a quarter horse. Known for the fastest short sprints (quarter mile). Throughbreds on the other hand are bred for longer distances. He has an awsome horse, perfect for the job..

In the UK riders have to be skilled enough to stay on their horses and be able to control them at all times, there are no outriders in British racing, you're on your own!
