    Looks like they had to put a splice between them. Judging by their crayon lines for the array dimensions they marked on the roof, seems they didn't make a rail long enough? I've been there. Also notice how he's got the rope tied to that same rail rather than in an anchor nailed to a rafter haha. Still, great work and as a solar installer myself, I enjoyed the little moments of showing off. Great production value, too.

    Whats the name of the box that they connect the solar panels to? I have the panels but not that box.. and I'm wondering if there more plugs needed with that box

  • @maraelaman3115

    @maraelaman3115

    They were working with both the envoy and the main service panel. You have to add breakers to the service panel to connect the panels to, and then the panels plug into the Envoy outside, which then attaches to the utility meter. You also need a lockable but accessible rapid blade disconnect within 5 feet of the utility meter in most states as well. If you're not using microinverters, youll have an inverter box instead of an Envoy as well.

    Absolutely I saw a woman who were applying for solar. Some women work in electrical field since it's focus more on mental than physical. Then again there's a little chance you will met women in trades. But I'm guessing Electrician and Solar are best job for women just my opinion.
