    I'd make sure the ROTC you do is able to transfer to Airforce because colleges have different ROTC, like army, marines, navy, etc. So be careful which college you go to because if you go through ROTC you will become an officer and it is very shameful to go through one branch get Commissioned then completely transfer to another branch.

  • @TTFSZ

    @TTFSZ

    @BladerNation What I'm saying is dont go through training and commission for one Branch then turn around and transfer to another, that branch spent it's time and money to commission you for them, but you take that and go to another branch not serving in the branch you trained for is what's shameful

    @@whatagemstoneyouwere9222 ROTC is college. The military pays for your university and in return you have to serve anywhere from 3-8 years (depending on a variety of factors I’m not gonna get into unless you want me to explain further). If you serve 8 years or more, you will be granted the post 9/11 G.I. Bill which gives you 4 years of tuition at any public university, or up to $40,000 a year at any private university. This can be used to obtain a master’s degree, or alternatively you can have the military pay for your master’s, adding onto your payback time, and then you can give the GI Bill to your spouse and/or children.

I want to also be prepared incase I get drafted, I‘ll have some knowledge of what I‘m getting in to. My main goal in life is to go into law enforcement, however if I have to go into the army or the navy or whatever branch I‘m going into, I want to be ready. I am going to do Army ROTC in college.

    Just to kind of clear things up since I was in before ROTC. Its a totally different environment to BCT and AIT. ROTC sought to emulate traditional line unit training. You cant bring cadets in at 2 am on a regular basis while they need to study got class because the schedules are all different. During the cadet summer training they experience that lack of sleep, often getting less than 4 hours. During our 12 mile ruck we had an sp time of 0300. Maybe Leonard wood is soft on us but I really didn't find it challenging. Outside of the short ftx, the worst sleep I got was around 4 hours once since we did some 4 July thing, had to be up early, and I did fire guard.

    So I'm not entirely sure what your comment means. If you want to be an actual combat medic, then you shouldn't become an officer. If you want to go into the medical field, as in Nursing, Dental, or other medical degree, then becoming an officer is the way to go. There is something called the Option 40 Contract, which simply states that upon completion of an ROTC program, rather than commissioning as a Second Lieutenant, you instead enlist as I believe a specialist. Its rather uncommon which is why I'm not 100% sure about it, but it's still an option. I'd recommend talking to an actual Recruiting Officer at an ROTC program though, NOT A RECRUITER. Recruiters will lie to you, Recruitment officers at Universities will be much more truthful.

    I am doing that program in Madison Vocational High School and I'm a freshman ninth grade and the reason why I just want to try and have more physical strength like I have a mental and emotional strength but I only have a little of physical strength so that's why and I just want to get my muscly arms and broad shoulders back that I used to have like I used to work out at home when I was 10 but until the pandemic start I stopped working out and when I heard a presentation they have a gym with gym equipment like weights and those things that you do push-ups that keep your feet down without another person and but the number one reason is to build more character into myself because I'm mostly a plain person but I want to be more than that but I don't know my dad will let me because I heard they use air rifles with the tiny pellets with compressed air and my dad probably not going to let me but I will say they will take that out and I could do some other thing then doing that and I think the program only goes on academic week not vocational week because the program is not vocational and I'm not looking forward to doing the military in my future because the people do the program said the program is not connected to the military it's just basically physical education but with a Twist so when I get the permission slip for doing the program I'm going to hope for my dad sign it or I will sign it because I know how to writing cursive for the signature and I already know the print signing and I want to do something exciting because what I said and I want to go character and I want to get out of my comfort zone

    Nic Clayton You’re joking right? I know this comment is a year ago but like you’ve got to be joking? Commissioned officers are the ones who are leading the “enlisted hero’s” under stressful situations and at all times. They’re also the ones who are leading up to 200-300 soldiers when they’re deployed for war. It depends on what type of officer they are such as second lieutenant, first lieutenant, etc.

    They should've done more to show in depth real life. You are basically a student with an extra hour of class, 3 hours of physical training, and a 2 hour field exercise known as mil lab. As a nursing student with an army rotc scholarship, the life is hard to juggle but if you know what you want and you know what it takes to get there, then the only limit is you.

    Brain stroke by electrical stunning and injections is what I suffered in military training. I also had radiation exposure. None of it was compensated from 1983 US Navy PacificFleet. Also in other government work involving trillions of dollars I was stunned repeatedly and injected and had 18 year coma with no workers compensation from the 1999 2000 incidents. The robbers were successful. I was treated like a criminal afterward. Father told me no military and no finance work and do not live where life is improbable in particular California. I truly have regrets now in my old age and am considering euthanasia. If you feel you must go in military just join French foreign legion or stay overseas when you are rejected. Father was a national guard volunteer who regretted he had contact with the government of the USA. He joked if you are to join the military you might as well sleep with a black man in the back yard Any man in black face camouflage in the national guard in your town is your back yard man. Nursing or dr pays better. I never trust the regime in power or their healthcare. They betray us the common Americans. Kurt brown saintrambone Mobile Audit Club club.
