  • @imthrillz5255

    @imthrillz5255

    3 жыл бұрын

    Depends on where you work. A big hospital where they have their seperate phlebotomist team you probably wont draw blood at all. At a smaller hospital you might need to draw blood. Ideally an MLT should actually be completely confident to draw blood

  • @apdroidgeek1737

    @apdroidgeek1737

    Phlebotomist usually draw blood if the Phlebotomist, they dont use mlt to draw blood cuz their skills and their pay ( even though they only earn $2-5 more than Phlebotomist )are not being utilized.

    Cre8ive Labs exactly. If an mlt, mt, or pathologist(doctor) doesn't do their job accurately, many people could die, simply from misreading and calibrating a machine. They all work together. Everything is triple checked, yet there are so many patient samples and so little time. It's the one job where you can't afford to be lazy. Forget fired, someone could actually die by not getting the correct diagnosis. General MD's do not get a diagnosis without the lab or performing some type of test themselves. And probably wouldn't know what to do about going about getting the information unless intimately trained themselves. Everyone has a place. Doctors and nurses can't know how to do everything. Not even close.
