Hey everyone, I just wanted to say that I didn't abandon the channel and am planning to make another video in the near future

Hi im planning to apply at epfl, any tips and trick?
Love your content, keep posting
The effort to take those shots (especially the ones you were walking, pretty sure it's an effort to record them on your own), really well made. I hope you can continue creating these types of vids here.

What a great video. I was recenlty admitted to the Data Science master and I am now trying to pick between EPFL and UvA, but definitely leaning towards the former. Now I just need to find a place to live. 🥶
Underrated channel
dude your work ethic is impressive, are able to maintain this level of productivity throughput the semester, or do you get highs and lows?

First of all, thanks! I do try to maintain a consistent level of productivity, but honestly, I do experience highs and lows. Sometimes, indeed, one takes a step back to later take two steps forward

Hey! Thanks for the video, now I'm more motivated to apply to the MSc in Computational Science and Engineering. Any piece of advice will be greatly appreciated :-)

@ricardomarino8554 hey! Can't say anything specific for this program but my generic advice is to focus on SoP: the goals, experiences, and courses you'd take
hey am one of ur subscribers n i wanna ask u about sth actually am thinking about studying in epfl next year but i rlly don't know what bachelor i have to choose (i saw their web site btw) so my section is technology n all my professors r telling me that i should study computer science since am rlly good with algorithms but i only know python n barely some c++ n actually there is another section in highschool called cs! but am really keen n passionate about cs so i wanna know if those who studied cs in highschool will be a step forward or not n if i'll be able to go with the flow n get good grades

I'm afraid that I may not be the right person to answer your question, as I'm not a bachelor's student. However, here is some generic advice I can offer. CS at EPFL is probably one of the best CS programs. It will teach you strong foundations and give you the chance to branch out into many other fields later (if you want). Having knowledge of Python is already a great plus, and familiarity with C++ is also beneficial, as there are many students who know only Matlab, even at the master's level (which isn't bad, but companies are more eager to see experience with languages like Python, etc). Keep in mind that it's a top school and admission may be quite competitive. Definitely worth a try. Though, I can't say too much about the bachelor's program, don't be shy to shoot your department an email with any questions (I did it several times).

hey i am currently in my first year of bachelor in computer science at EPFL. Firstly if you want to do CS studies , yes take this bachelor (or you can take System of communication , both are exactly the same the first year and at the end of first year you can change) Secondly , for theses bachelor you don't need knowlegde in CS before begining, they start from 0. Btw in most other bachelor at epfl you study the C++ the first year, but in computing you study Java. (ofc knowing a few basics first helps) And to finish i see that you asked for the price of the food, here on the compus if you want to eat at the canteens or food trucks it's about 8-10 fr. Personnaly like a lot of people i bring food i have cooked myself.
Hey man! Thanks for the video! With your experience at epfl, do you think one can maintain a full time job while studying?

@kcnl2522 Hey! I'm not really sure that one can. For most students, there is a 15 hour limit per week for work in the industry; you will be allowed to work only part time if you're taking courses. However, it's sometimes not the case for work in a lab. Also, students often take a 6 month break to do an internship and then go back to studies

@@DaniilKarz thanks for the response! Yeah im aware o the rules but my question was, if the workload leaves you space for a 40 hour work week (some people can work online for companies outside switzerland).
@DaniilKarz

Got it. Depends on the person and the preparation level. I knew someone who actually did it. But they had to cover the whole course program during a few days before the exam 😅

Hi Dan Karz, I am one of the aspirants of EPFL for Masters. May I know what is the difficulty of getting into EPFL for a robotics program from a mechanical background
@DaniilKarz

Hi! I don't know how difficult that is but I'd assume that getting into any technical program at EPFL should be similar. Mechanical background for robotics program is great
HEY DAN..your video is great...I would like to learn more...is it possible?

What's the cost of living per student in Lausanne?
@DaniilKarz

Check this resource out: www.epfl.ch/education/studies/en/financing-study/ You should also keep in mind that it depends heavily on the person. The main spending per month typically goes on housing and food. The housing options vary depending on location, type (room, studio, flat), and whether it's only for students (like dorms) or private. The same goes for food. You may cook for yourself or often eat in cafes. Some people can spend around the number on the website alone on food, but I knew a pair who spent only around half as much for two. It depends on many factors: if you eat a lot of meat, dairy, and sweet stuff, which are typically more expensive. Again, the choice of shops matters. Aldi and Lidl are considered to be cheaper. Migros is slightly more costly but the quality seems to be notably better, imho. Coop is next but usually has a wider range of veggies and stuff.

All master's and PhD programs are fully in English. Bachelor's courses are most often in French, but I heard that people find alternative courses from other sections in English

@@whodis5774 It's fine, depends on the person. Not as great as when you speak French though as the vast majority (especially at the BSc level) speak French. Depends on where you live also. great job editing. IMO you could totally lose the content where you are getting out of bed and etc. it's just uninteresting. everyone gets out of bed. we know what it looks like. it'd be much better to focus on what distinguishes you from others like your studies.
