Thank you for sharing your day in a life as an animator! Im curious about the time specifics. Like for example, the average time you stop working on animating to work on other stuff and when you sleep, and how much sleep you get on average. Ive try animating a bit before and i always feel animator who do this for a living is on a whole other level because its a very long process (epecially if it's 2d) and can be quite hard on stamina and the brain to keep going due to the amount of drawings you need to do plus deadlines

The current anime I’m working on has healthy deadlines! So I’m sleeping enough, and some days, I have time to do other stuff like buying groceries and cooking (or even this KZread video). The advantage of being freelance is that I organize my schedule. As long as I deliver when I’m supposed to, I can work some days 8 hours and others 4, etc. I have been on projects with crunched deadlines (not only anime), and I’d like to avoid that if possible lol. I could make a more in-depth video on how I organize myself :)

The first anime I worked on was Magical Destroyers, which aired in April this year. And that's it haha 😅 before that I worked on indie Western productions, commercials, etc.

can i ask how many frames do you animate in a day

I don’t really count frames, because it can vary a lot between cuts. A cut can be a still image and that’s only 1 drawing, or it can be action packed with lots of drawings. Hope that helps!
