    What a classic! I swear all physios have yoghurt and granola and have a coffee in hand as they walk into work

    Hey I'm from South Africa and also an aspiring physiotherapist, im currently doing matric. Is the salary enough to earn a normal living. Can I afford a decent car and place to live with physiotherapy salary?

    Hey Bonolo yes it is decent salary but getting a job in the department of health is almost impossible as posts are frozen, in the private sector you can get a work, even locum work. If you get your masters you can do lecturing at ukzn even.

    You may not be earning a doctors salary but it really is a rewarding career! As you help people everyday, treating their pain, teaching kids motor skills as well as helping those that may have suffered a neurological injury to walk or be independent again.

    Hey tess I saw this videos of yours. I’m also studying physio. But I kinda have doubts about the field and career. Is it worth studying. I happened to saw the video where you told that you are changing your career from physio to medicine. Actually I wanted to become a doctor too but due to some issues I couldn’t and got admission in physio. I’m literally kinda out of motivation and confused about becoming a PT. can you tell me about the jobs opportunities for physios?

    In Australia, depends on state/area that you're working in but a beginner might expect around 70-75k with the option of commission to and a more experienced physio might earn around 120k+ a year. These are just based on personal experience with myself and some fellow colleagues

    Hey!! I found your video while searching for information that could help me.. I'm applying for an undergrad degree in physiotherapy (in Hungary) but I couldn't find any information about the system at all.. I asked another youtuber from the US and it turned out that you have to complete the 4 year undergrad degree, then get into DPT school and get a doctorate, then pass the board exam to get the license so you could finally start working as a physiotherapist.. so it takes like 8 years in US.. but I also heard that it's different in other countries.. can you please tell me how it's like in Australia? Thank you so much!!

    hey! even though your comment is a bit old I saw it and thought I'd respond as a physiotherapy student in Australia :) here, you can either do a 4 year undergraduate course in physiotherapy, or do an undergraduate degree with the relevant pre-requisites such as anatomy and physiology and then do either a 2 or 3 years masters course!

    How much do you earn, coz I'm also thinking of pursuing physiotherapy as a career, and your answer will really help .

  • @TheTessFiles

    @TheTessFiles

    What a physio earns depends largely on where you work (hospital vs community vs private practice etc), what grade physiotherapist, and the country/state in which you work. I would recommend searching for the workplace award in the state you are interested in working in to give you a general idea. I hope that helps!
