A day in the life of a Maths and Physics student at Oxford University - First day of school
So today term started, I had a few lectures both at the maths and physics departments, where people can see what the buildings and some of the lecture halls look like. I discussed some of my modules for the term and what they entailed.

Besides some homework’s, there’s a glimmering smile.
Bruv could you clarify smth for me? Are u doing a double major in math and physics or just taking math and physics classes? Cause i was under the impression that oxford doesn't offer double major for math and physics.

So I did my undergraduate studies in purely physics, and now I'm doing the masters course at Oxford which is joint between both the maths and physics departments so you technically major in both as you can pick as many modules from either department as you feel you want to. But there's no undergraduate course like this at Oxford its either Maths or Physics.
Hi! I've been accepted in OMMS (Master in Mathematical Sciences) and MMathPhys. My pathway would be biophysics and so there are also some course in OMMS that allow you to take relevant modules also. Do you know anyone taking this pathway? How do they feel about it? Are both masters equally valued or is there one with higher reputation than another? I would appreciate very much any recommendation and personal advice:)

What was your bachelors in that got you accepted to both pure math and physics ? Really want to know. Did you take both math and physics courses in bachelors, how much both ?

Yes😅 In Spain bachelors are 4 years (240 ECTS) and few universities offer studying a double bachelor in maths and physics (318 ECTS) and its around 162 and 156 in each...But most people spend at the end almost 6 years (instead of the 8 required separetely) to finish everything (you have to writte 2 full dissertations in each area...). Although I've studied this, I guess I've been very lucky to be accepted in both. Any recommendations?
Yeah. Thesis is required for my MS in Statistics in the US. Kinda crazy. Especially since I’m considering industry. Good you have a choice.

Honestly looking back at it. I think a diss would’ve been very good, honestly would’ve been a pain but useful. Looks great on a CV so for industry I’d highly recommend doing one and tailoring it to the job you’d want to go into.
This is the course I wanna do after i finish my undergrad. And about 1 in 6 people who apply gets in. Did you like do research contributions in undergrad?

I did not do any research in my undergrad. I just made good relationships with lecturers so they were able to write a lot about me for references and got decent grades.
I am an A-Level student who has taken Maths and Physics although I got 7s at GCSE, do you have any tips (like how I manage my time and how I can improve)?

Hey man, 1) good choice of A-levels (no bias, okay partial bias) and 2) the best advice for A-levels is hammer questions. In terms of some extra tips, I'll try get a video up in the next week or 2 to explain how I manage revision for what I believe to be the most effective and talk about what some other people I know do as well.

WHILE THE LECTURER COPIES THE INFORMATION FROM PAPERS ,THERE IS NO NEED TO LISTEN..NO INSPIRATION AND NO MOTIVATION..VERY HEART BREAKING..........

Yes. Better send the written materials directly to students and stop wasting their time with such a "lecture". The lecture must have a real usefulness. If the lecture amounts to copying material that is already written somewhere else, then such a "lecture" is a huge waste of students' time.

Now that it's shut down, that shirt is officially a collectors item.
Einstein didn't say anything of that. But relativistic effects were indeed used to understand why mercury is a liquid metal.
