From behind the wheel of her truck, this unlikely young livestock carter is committed to keeping Australia's beef industry moving.
For nearly a decade, female truckie Claire Strasburg has travelled up and down the highways of eastern Queensland behind the wheel of her truck, carting cattle from saleyards and station paddocks to meatworks near Brisbane. "It's a brilliant job," Claire says. "I wouldn't change it for the world".

I'm in the U.S.A. and you don't see very many females doing the line of work you are doing. You really tor up your truck there didn't you? Amazing to see Female Drivers, in a Male Dominated industry, the need and call for Truckies IN Australia is greater then anything. We do need to see more Woman behind the wheel, to if set the Male Balance, however, as she said, You need to have a passion and love for the job, as the Neigbour next would say, a Truckie for 40 years, and he retired, you need to have a love of driving, open road, and the passion. I hope that she has a long and prosperous journey, she loves her job and that's clear, never give up regardless of the issues ahead. I'm really proud of her.
