My nephew in the USA Marines is on his way to be stationed in Japan. He loves jdm cars so he is stoked to be able to drive some and possibly buy one. Love the vids Albo.

Probably a English teacher and then married a local. Also probably put the business in his wifes name to start because Japan hates foreigners.

Never fully trust an auction grade. It saying grade 4 is great but all that means is the inspector could have gotten slipped $1,000 to overlook issues and mark it as that. Of course not all inspectors are shady like that but it’s always good to have someone look over the car in person and verify that everything stated is correct

@@arnoldosu1 sad thing about my country is that: 1. I cant import a car freely, in fact I cant import a car that is used at all 2. There are only limited selection of cars in my country. 3. Shit ton of value on the jdm cars here, an AE86 can cost almost 100k dollars here, so if im living an average joe job, i can forget about owning a legendary car.

Im pretty sure the JDM bubble is bursting Right now. Sure rare trim and special models will continue to stay relevant but underdogs like Evos, S2Ks, RX-7 FC, 3000GT, and so on will Go down on price a little. Not saying they Go down to the price they used to 10 years ago but they will normalize now that collectors arent interested anymore and normal car fans Start to swich to newer models. Only the fans are staying (those who liked JDM before it was cool) and those People don’t pay overinflated prices. You can see that in a lot of cars more and more don’t get auctioned because the crazy high reserve doesnt get met. I think the normal basic trim JDM Cars outpriced their own targeted group of interested buyers

How would I get in contact with Jeff? I’m thinking of putting some of my insurance money towards one of dream cars. Also what kinda prices there are for the other expenses? Like how much does Jeff typically charge? How much does it typically cost to ship your car from Japan to NA (Canada specifically) and how long does it typically take to get to the west coast of NA? Also what kinda things do you gotta end up paying for at the port? Yeah a newer NA car would be cool but Would much I’m wanting to spend Id rather just buy a car I’ve been in love with for years and curious on how much that’ll cost me

Conflict of interest, his salary is directly related to how much these cars are sold for, so he tries his best to hide the price.
