A Day in the Life of a Cadet | General's Cadet Life | The General and His Son Episode 5
Veer by Discovery presents the web series - “The General And His Son”. General Singha and Harman are in Rashtriya Military School, Chail to go back into the history and relive the moments of General Singha's childhood. This is where the golden era of military life started for General Singha 50 years ago. General has noticed the typical millennial traits in Harman's life and feels that there is a lack of discipline. That's why he took Harman to the military school early in the morning so that he can experience a day in the life of a cadet where punctuality and discipline are the two most important values in everyday routine. From disciplined assembly session to dining etiquettes in the mess, Harman witnesses the highly disciplined routine of the young cadets. This makes Harman realize his father inculcated such a disciplined and successful life. Although it was Harman's idea to bring his dad to Rashtriya Military School, yet General Singha turned the tables on Harman and made him realise the importance of getting up early and living a disciplined life.
वीर बाइ डिस्कवरी प्रस्तूत करता है "जनरल ऐंड हिज़ सन" लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल इकबाल सिंह सिंघा और हरमन सिंघा के साथ। जनरल सिंघा और हरमन राष्ट्रीय मिलिटरी स्कूल चैल में हैं। यही वह जगह है जहां एक क़ैडेट के रूप में 50 साल पहले जनरल सिंह के सैन्य जीवन का सुनहरा युग शुरू हुआ था। अनुशासित असेंबली सत्र से लेकर मेस में खाने के शिष्टाचार तक, हरमन युवा कैडेटों की अत्यधिक अनुशासित दिनचर्या को देख कर दंग रह जाते हैं। लेकिन इससे उन्हें यह सीख मिलती है की उनके पिता के सफल जीवन में अनुशासन का कितना बड़ा योगदान रहा है।
The General And His Son, Veer By Discovery’s first web series about a Father-Son’s journey of learning important lessons of life. Lt. General Iqbal Singh Singha is a military general who lives a life of utmost discipline and undying devotion to his duty. Whereas Lt. General Singha’s civilian son, Harman has reached a point in his life where he finds himself at unusual crossroads and yearns for some clarity. For this Harman has planned a month long road trip with his father to visit all the places that are close to Lt. General Singha’s heart. He believes that by doing so he will get a better picture of how his father is as a person and in the process, he hopes to learn some valuable lesson to live life better. Watch the story of a Lt. my dad is in police, he was always overworked , underpaid and usually angry....i feared him and never came infront of him since my school days. Now I am grown up and dad is about to retire. Even if we meet we have nothing to talk. the gap is so huge to fill. Felt like crying watching this way of communication between dad and son

My father is a JCO in the Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Mandhata Singh was once his commanding officer, he is all praise for Gen. Singh's calibre, attitude and character. It's really great to see anything associated with the Indian Army and its men. Proud of you sir and thanks Harman bro for this idea.

Very nice documentary depicting the relation bw a fauji father and his son..Have experienced it myself...Our dads would be out on duty sacrificing a lot of family time for national duty..But at the end of the day he would still care for you like no one else and would have a lot to share about his experience from his unique and adventurous career..He would also guide you how to get the best out of life and achieve your dreams...He would always motivate you to be happy at the end of the day more than anything else... army is more than a job.It is a lifestyle which even the family members experience and enjoy...

Admission for civilian's wards in military schools is very competetive process and to top it all, only few seats r reserved for us.

Being as cadet in sainik school chittorgadh...I never felt my life as a student..it was all time a cadet... punishment was part of life..good old days but with the motto of dignity n valor...
