A Day in the Life: Female Marine

Ойын-сауық

Keep practicing! You'll soon find that you can. Then slowly increase the number you do and as the weeks go by before you know it you're doing more than you thought you ever could. You CAN do it! You'll see! Just be patient with yourself. There's a reason it's called training.

After Boot Camp at Parris Island, she was assigned to M.C.A.S. El Toro for a little over 2 years. Her service definitely stayed with her through out life & she was proud of serving her country. So Good Luck to you in your future as a Marine!

kelsey ornelas honestly it's all in ur head. Memorize everything u can before boot camp that way u leave room to memorize new things they only teach u there. Get ur body physically fit the most u can that way is easier. Try to do everything fast n effective. Be willing to push urself to the limit. DI's appreciate that and don't take anything personal. Know they don't mean it (just I'm case u get ur feelings hurt easily) that way it doesn't affect u emotionally. If ur attach to a family member (husband, children, parents) be prepared to miss them!!! Prepare urself for the worse just in case n think that it's only a few weeks and ull come back to them a stronger person. Good luck to you!!!

I have a question if anyone can answer, I really wanna join the reserves after highschool and I’m going to be starting my senior year soon and I’m only 5 ft really tiny, only 99-106 pounds (my weight changes a lot only in between those numbers) and I’m worried about that being a big problem and being an obstacle for me I’m going to try getting more muscle throughout my senior year but I’m not sure if it’s physically possible but I’m scared that I’ll join and go to boot camp and not be able to do ANYTHING because of how tiny i am.

Being muscley doesn't make a good soldier...there's too much emphasis on upper body strength...being a better runner with a pack on your back over long distances makes a better soldier. Nimble and light on your feet, like the Viet Cong in Nam...they were able to move in and out of position with more stealth and at speed.
