Go for straight chemistry as the extra education in physics is useful to be honest through out my studies ended up specialising in organic chemistry energy and thermodynamics and physical chemistry also specialise with NMR and mass spectrometry then agian I'm abit bias as I never liked life sciences

Hey guys I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future. Thx for reading.

For example, if you think making vaccines is interesting, maybe you can try and get an REU working with vaccine research to see if you like it. Or, work a temporary research position doing something similar after college. If you haven't already, check out my Chemistry Q&A video (link in description) too! Best of luck!!

Hi! Thank you so much, I appreciate it! That is a really interesting dual degree, but I think that you can really go far with those two. It will probably open up a lot of doors for you because a lot of times there is a light gap in the highly educated scientists for pharmaceutical companies and the sales representatives. That might give you an advantage over others that you have both the knowledge and communication skills to present the ideas.

I think that it is different for everyone, but don't sell yourself short! It is tough but it is all interesting. But then again, you can work in a lab and not do biochemistry, too. Biochem is a great premed major, but it also is sometimes difficult to get all of your pre-med prerequisites for med school in also because it is a time-consuming major. I'm sure your future school will have different pre-med majors you can look at too if you end up not liking Biochemistry as much!!

Hi! It depends what you are interested in. I completely know how you feel-it’s overwhelming in a way to have a job that qualifies you for such a broad area! But you can really work in most labs with both chemistry or biology. For example, I currently woke in a lab processing blood for a research company, however I also have friends who became chemists for companies in pharmaceuticals. You could also look into doing actual research at NIH or other research oriented labs.

Thank you!! I was at Salisbury University in Maryland. And I am unsure of how the transfer of degrees (between countries) works, but I know there are plenty of jobs working in the biotech/biochem industry here.

That sounds like a great GPA, and if you are talking about grad school education, depending on what your track is (neuroscience, biochem, micro) depends on whether you will be paying to get a PhD
