Thank you for your recommendations. My husband and I will be visiting the area at the end of November. We have visited a few times before but not for many years. We really enjoy visiting Shenandoah and I will mark down those trails you recommended.

I have family roots there way before it was a park. I go there and maintain my family cemetery.

How neat! One of our dear friends also has family roots before the Government took over their land. There is a lot of history in those hills!

I've been going to shenandoah national park, since I was born. And I've never get tired of the views and the feeling of being there. And when I hike, I usually just do bear fence, Stoneyman. And what a amazing video, keep it up.

Tremendous views in this video! Your local knowledge definitely shines in highlighting some of Shenandoah's best easily attainable overlooks! I'd definitely encourage you to try a series on dehydrating food and/or backpacking food recipes 👍

I am so confused about Stony Man Trail and Little Stony Man Trail. I haven’t found a trail on the NPS website about Little Stony Man. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi there! We’d be happy to help you out. Little Stony Man and Stony Man are two separate rock outcroppings, but can be accessed via the same trails (there are a few ways to get to both). Little Stony Man is the easier of the two to access (not as long of a hike, shorter elevation). We like to start at the Little Stony Man trail at mile marker 39 on Skyline Drive. It’s a short (.5 mile) hike to the overlook. Once there, you can continue along the trail and it will take you to Stony Man, then loop back to your car at the Little Stony Man parking lot. If you are looking at an NPS map, the Little Stony Man parking lot is marked but the trail is marked as Passamaquoddy Trail. I hope this helps, please let us know if we can assist you any further!
