I got my pair of cockatiels 1.5 months back. male and female. they look atleast 6 months old. i give them healthy soft food , fresh water twice a day, minaral blocks and mixed seeds. they are happy and make a few sounds but they have not started singing yet. i am getting impatient looking at your cockatiels singing songs so nicely. When did your cockatiels start singing ?? tell me about ur experience please.

Hi Ola is so cuteeee. About the toys that you bought, birds usually like chewing and destroying toys so I recommend getting toys he can shred or soft wood toys. You can also make your own toys from paper or cardboard. Maybe he will like those?

Getting a hand fed cockatiel from a breeder this month. I was not sure if I should have gone with a female or male based on temperament but the reason I decided to go with male is because I worry about the female egg issues. My biggest issue is a want a friendly cockatiel that can be cuddly and calm with my kids which are 4 and 8. Our budgie doesn’t interact with them at all. Is a hand raised cockatiel a good choice for us and is male a better option? We don’t want an aggressive bird.

All birds have aggressive moments as they grow up so even if he's hand fed, he could still be aggressive. Just make sure you have the time and energy to play and let him out everyday and any aggressive behavior will go away

@@carinaiboaya4868 obsessed with my little guy. So affectionate. He was ha d raised. He can get nippy but he’s the sweetest bird I’ve ever had. Always wants to be with us.
