@VisualMoss I have a service dog in training and will be getting her k9 good citizenship, and public access test done next month and was just wondering if you could tell me where you got that mat that cloud is laying on during you classes. I'm trying to prepare for her coming to school with me. If you could that would be great. But if it's to much of a problem it's fine.

Yep! I've done this before! Well Tyler did because my chronic pain would not let me carry Cloud around a whole lot. If you can maybe recommend he gets boots for the dog! That helps out a lot, My brand is Ruffwear.

oh my bad I thought it was a polar bear

at a pep rally, my principal came over the speakers of the football field and told everyone that there would be a service dog at the football game that night and to not distract them or pet them. it really made me happy because service animals aren’t treated the best all the time, but my school helps this dog and their handler a lot. it’s very heartwarming to see.

@@cookiefan1809 they really don’t. that’s just one example of what they do. she’s the only person with a service dog in the 2000 student body, and they make sure they educate people on proper service dog etiquette. they get people in trouble if they mess with the dog or the handler.

Everyone is saying she is a mouse or a hamster a cat but we all know she is really a PANDA BEAR

I have had a teacher try to tell me once, when I tried to leave class because I was having a panic attack, that there was no such thing as a mental illness and I needed to stop. (I have PTSD)

@@Beau-wp9yi just because you never had to deal with ignorant people doesn't mean they're not there. My old Maths teacher genuinely believes that mental illnesses are not a thing, that they were all made up in the past few years. My dad has the same believe. That Maths teacher refused to let a girl leave class during a panic attack and the girl ended up fainting and there were no results for the teacher. She later told that girl, diagnosed with anxiety, that she must have asthma, because panic attacks aren't a real thing and neither is anxiety. You being lucky enough to not experience this kind of ignorance doesn't mean it's not there, and you're pretty ignorant yourself if you believe that.

Imagine if you went to a school and someone didn't care about the word "Service" and only cared about the word "Animal". They kept on petting the dog or trying to distract it from its owner. What would you do? I would push them away from the animal and tell that that's *NOT* okay and tell them to leave, as well as telling the principle.

@@sensationlive3528 I have a husky who is currently 3 weeks old. She such an angel!!!! Definitely would recommend a husky there very calm. If you train them well there very calm. And if you love playful/energetic dogs a husky is gonna be your number one! (Sorry for VERY late reply).

She’s such a good girl :) I wish that I was able to get a service dog. My panic attacks got so bad that they were coming multiple times a day :/ I also have had had depression and anxiety since third grade so that’s fun. I just love having bad mental health it’s my favorite! My depression also gets so bad that I can’t feel emotions. I also had an eating disorder last year and I wanted to die last year (we good though now as I told the school counselor and we talked and my family and I talked about it and I am not suicidal anymore)

i really hope your senior quote last year (if your school did those) was "no, you can't pet cloud" bc my mom has a service dog that's a german shepard and a mini poodle, and people are constantly going up to him and petting him or making faces at him, and i figured since cloud is so heckin cute and fluffy that ppl probably do the same 🥰

Ana Hernandez it's not illegal, at least in caifornia, but it's frowned upon, and not allowed by most owners and trainers bc it distracts the dog from their job. my mom lets ppl pet her service dog with permission, but ppl just come up and pet him

Chloe DeLong from what ive heard it can take the dogs attention off their owner and then the person might start having an attack or something of the sort and the dog wont respond how it should because its distracted. Its best to just pretend they arent there but maybe talk to the owner to see if its okay to acknowledge the dog ig

Let me just say Cloud is an amazing service dog. She's been trained very well from what I see. I know how you feel to a small extent with how terrible mental illnesses are. I hope things get better for you in the future. Until then, you have one of the best service dogs watching over you, making sure nothing happens. It's really nice to see the perspective of someone in high school with a service dog. Most videos I've seen, the owners have been adults. I'd love to see more videos like this.

What these dogs do is nothing short of amazing, and they do it out of love and respect for their handler/owner!♥️

I really needed this, I become a high schooler in 2021 and I’m getting a service dog soon and I really needed to know what it’s like. This helps me a lot to know what’s it like to be in highschool with your service dog :).

Good luck friend! I'm starting high school this September, and I'm starting to realize that a service dog might be a good investment. We will see what happens, but once I get away from my horrible parents, I'll most likely get one. It will truly change my life. I hope a service doggo changes yours for the better!

Huskies are very intelligent, as long as there it's obvious that the human is the leader, huskies can be great working dogs. Just like sledge pulling :)

It was very easy to train my Siberian husky and once they’re past the puppy age they turn lazy. My 8 year old Siberian husky is turning back to a puppy. I don’t know if all huskies become lazy when they get older or it’s because my dog has a leg problem and is finally healing mentally after 1+ year.

When Cloud started rolling in the grass I DIED... so so so so cute AHHHH

I was nervous for high school about making friends. It’s nice to have one by your side all the time

it’s probably so hard to resist petting Cloud 😂she’s sooooo cute! 🥰🥰

Leo plays games You can report them to the school (they’re more likely to get them in more trouble because you have a disability.)

My science teacher trains service dogs. She is a German Shepherd and she bring her to school about 3 days every week. Her name is Farrah. Every once in a while we train her too. Bring her out and do some trainings with her. Whenever we do science she cuddles with my classmates but for some reason she only licks my face! She first came to my school when she was a month old. My teacher also trained a black Labrador, she now is in Illinois helping a blind person in need! I believe this year was the last year for Farrah. She was absolutely a great dog. ❤️

They have some sort of ability they are born with that makes them the ideal training pup for whatever they need to do. It's not lucky to to have chronic illness and severe disabilities and require the aid of a highly trained $30k dog that cant just be a regular dog... dont be insensitive

Aw, your service dog is so sweet and loyal! Cloud is just adorable, I love huskies. I do not have/need a service dog, but I do find these types of videos very interesting. I also like the music in the video. It’s very upbeat and I always find myself bobbing my head to the beat. Service dogs can be very beneficial and can even save someone’s life. Cloud really cares about you and I can tell you two have a strong friendship.
