Here in the states we call that bread dish French toast. The recipe varies but we only usually cook the slices individually so they can cook all the way through. I usually make mine with a mixture of milk or cream, cinnamon, egg, and vanilla. Then use butter in the pan and fry them up. But yours looked good as well! Have a great week!

When you cook the egg toast, cook each slice of bread separately so that both get cooked well. Otherwise, the center will tend to stay runny.

Okay, I'm partly wrong, but I'm so glad for your good news! Congratulations and well done. We love French toast with maple syrup at my house, but we just do one slice at a time to make sure the sides are nice and toasty. I just bought the book by Robert Greene as a gift for my son.

For the toast I typically grill each slice individually so you don’t have a mushy middle. It looked like you stacked two each. It’ll make a drier toast when cooked one by one!
