A day in my life as a teacher 👩🏻🏫 - autism classroom, what I eat in a day 🍛, work life balance
I'm currently a special education teacher for students with autism. For the past few years, I've been through many challenges (mentally, physically and emotionally). I've made so many amazing relationships and have grown tremendously. Now, I have my own classroom filled with students who never fail to amaze me! One of my biggest highlights of this school year includes seeing the growth in my students and how their lives are changing just by my teaching. I learn so much from my students. I absolutely love what I do.
In this video, I've included some strategies and resources I use daily in my classroom. I've also included other things I do on a regular work day. As much as I prioritize my job and do bring work home time to time (very rarely now), I wanted to emphasize the importance of having a work life balance. There will always be work that needs to be done when it comes to teaching. I need to take care of myself and my family first in order to continue doing what I'm doing...

@@_dearoliveI am planning to be a teacher as well in the Autism Classroom level in grade school they have a CD Room in WOVSED (Wabash Ohio Valley Special Education District) or used to be which is based out of Norris City, IL I think? I'm going to work in the grade schools in Harrisburg, IL in the WOVSED CD Room if they still have it do you have any advice for me?
