@BobTheTrueCactus
11 ай бұрын
@@konradwiniarz5253 That should basically be how it works. Not sure what they're aligned to (north would make sense though) It's easy to visualize if you take a sheet of paper. Set two spots that each represent a fire lookout and a third one for the fire. Check the angles from the lookouts to the fire, draw a line along those angles and they meet at the exact location of the fire, without prior information of the distance of the fire. All you need is a triangle ruler, a pen, a map with the location of the fire lookouts and a radio or some other means of communication.

@vipe650r
11 ай бұрын
@@TryHardProductions1As outregis points out, it’s totally natural. It’s only when proper stewardship of forestry is prevented (like in California) that you end up with forests that are way too dense, not properly regulated, and rife for large scale and destructive fires. I’m not in the “humans are evil and a problem” camp, but there are a whole lot of actual experts on how to sustainably steward natural forests, who are routinely ignored in California in the name of the “environmentalism” (that’s actually just politics and virtue-signaling) responsible for California’s fire season being the destructive force it continually is. It isn’t because of climate change, as they’ll say on the news. Nature is actually really good at her job of cycles and regulation.
