Being a veteran who served with the B-2, I can tell you that it's one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The level of technology and the level of precision it takes to operate these aircraft is truly awe-inspiring.

A 15-minute video titled "A day in the life of a $2B Stealth Bomber"- proceeds to dedicate 1/3 of the video to the $2b bomber, 1/3 of the video to a ~$84m 70 year old bomber with zero stealth, and the remaining 1/3 to a $265m bomber that is somewhere in between the first two.

I was lucky enough to work on the B-2's HTE design while working with the USAF. Will forever be my favorite aircraft! Thanks for the video!
They skipped out on one of the coolest features of the B1-B and that's the air to ground radar with terrain tracking. It allows the aircraft to fly super close to the ground at supersonic speeds as a show of force.

103122 Excellent Video!!!! Thanks you! I m VERY proud of the aircraft we, the USA Military, Air Force, has kept flying. It ALWAYS saddens me to learn when aircraft are permanently retired. Example the T-38 Talon is being replaced. The P-3 Orion has been retired just recently and now I learned we, the USA, is picking up the WEDGE aircraft. What? Are the E-2 Hawkeye and the AWACS really so old? One aircraft that was around that I was too young to learn much about was the The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark. Will you do a vid on that aircraft sometime, please? It and the B-1 are similar but the Aardvark was a medium range bomber, multi-roll?? Seems like that's something we needed at the time but a medium-range bomber wasn't?
Keep up the good work everyone 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 John Quinn, Glasgow, UK
Can we just admire and appreciate the B-2 and not bring in service rivalry! This video highlights AF capability. Let’s appreciate their contributions and not try to outdo each other!

The B-52 is proven to be the best, I served around them while they were on 15 minute ground alert with nuclear weapons on board!! It has proven it's ability to adapt to any mission and will out last the B-1 and B-2, retiring at about 2040 or later. The bomber could see it's 100th birthday with the US Air Force in June of 2055!!! the first B-52B was flown to Castle Air Force Base on June 29th 1955 to begin service with the 93rd Bomb Wing as the Base commander landed the aircraft at the base in California.. I served with the 92d Bomb Wing at Fairchild Air Force Base from 1977 to 1982 as a member of the 92d Security Police Squadron!!!

Yeah, but this video is about the B-2. As good as the B-52 WAS, it will never be able to do what the B-2 does. That is why they built the B-2. I think the B-52 is a great aircraft and is still important to the nation’s defense. Being stuck in the past and nostalgia is not the way to go. The B-21 will replace the B-2 because it is more advanced and capable than the B-2 AND the B-52.

The BUFF is a great airframe with a long and excellent history. The only real downsides are 1) they can't put ordinances on target until air superiority is achieved and 2) the aging of the airframe requires ever-increasing amounts of service. Like every platform, there are pros and cons.

As an airman with the security police squadron I did just that, walking outside of a red line around the bomber as a close in sentry, armed to the teeth and authorized to shoot if needed, then I promoted to different patrols, entry control point and the alarm tower operator, even area supervisor from time to time. I was in the tower when President Ronald Reagan was shot, we went into full alert doing things that are classified. We were ready our motto was Peace Is Our Profession!
