A Day in Kate's Life where the POJAGI indigo curtains are finally FINISHED!
Anna and I filmed my whole day on Wednesday this week! It starts, as it often does, when Artist Michelle Kral does her (almost) daily livestream here on KZread at 7.30am BST . She is so talented and it is a great way to start the day!

Why not join us and say Hi to Mitsi!
I finally finish the curtains that I started about 3 years ago! I'm so pleased with them and I love the way the morning light shines through them looking like a summer sky!
Anna and I are planning and chatting in the Shipping Room where the web shop lives. Arne and Carlos called it a Warehouse! But it is really just my transformed Spare Room!

When I grow up I want to be just like you Kate!!! Actually I'm 68+ years old but life has always gotten in the way of living like you do. Peacefully!! I'm working on it.
A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I have not touched my sewing machine since. But looking at the pride and joy on your face looking at your lovely curtains has made me want to go back and finish the projects I started before my diagnosis. Thank you so much for sharing this video. God bless you😄
Good morning, Kate. I know this is a year ago. But I found u now.. I've been watching u for a few months in my sewing room. My name is Mona. I'm 59 years old. My hubby and I are retired, and we love getting up at 3:30 am . I've been putting u on my tv with my morning coffee. I really enjoy your channel. I really love your home. Mine is not quite as homely as yours, I would love for it to be!!!! It's modern-day . I quilt. I love your curtains! I have the same type of windows. I have shear fabric blinds for now. Your curtains you have made in the sewing room, too. Oh my!! I've watched all the way to the end, and I get sad that it's ended... my hubby and I are looking for a place to visit in the next year or so. I watch the hoof G.P. in Scotland. I told my hubby we should go and help him with the cows. My hubby said no lets go see Kate at the last homely house!" We live in the U.S. 😊 sincerely Mona Piper
I enjoyed this video so much. I'm making a small craft, quite elementary, but like to see a day in the life of Kate as I stitch. Thank you for sharing your world with us
I think I smiled all the way through this video...your home is beautiful, the curtains are beautiful and I just love your way of life and the lovely peace and joy you impart. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us. 💜
Kate, you are such an influence for serenity and contentment. I do appreciate time listening to you, watching your creativity and your unhurried progress through your day. It's so nice to see how beautifully the curtains turned out. And I love that you have ongoing knitting projects at hand. Thank you, as always, for sharing with us.
loved seeing the sheep herding down the road ! Beautiful countryside.
So glad someone proved the light does go out in the fridge when you shut the door!

These curtains are beautiful! You are so creative! I love watching, or just listening, to you. You bring such calmness and comfort to me. I lost my daughter Jan. 31, 2021, 2 weeks before her 29th birthday and my heart has been so sad and full of grief. You bring me comfort and now I have to do some EPP! 😂 A sense of humor keeps me going! Thank you!

Kate I’m sure I am not the first to say that the tiny clips made for quilters are just perfect for the job you were doing today, your gorgeous curtains! The clips even come in your colors, pink and green!!! Podjaki looks wonderful against glads with sun coming through. What a beautiful busy life you have!

Hi Kate, I love your dress! Once again, I love watching your channel!
The thing that we all LOVE about you is how real you are. We all do so any of the same things, and fill our days with creative tasks and a few of the mundane chores as well. I was so happy that Arne and Carlos liked the tea towel, and the embroidery idea is great! Now I have to go do some basic chores but I'm thinking creative Kate thoughts!
Your drapes are gorgeous, Kate! Lovely and airy and evocative of the sky on a partly-cloudy day. You created a heavenly scene in the room with the POJAGI effect. So nice. Thank you and Anna for sharing this. Love everything you do. -Sally from MO
I let out an oooooo...... when the curtains were hung. The light through them brings them alive. May you have many happy years with them at your window!

Ditto what Viv Lee said. Loved seeing your country and watching your day unfold. You make me smile. From Oregon, USA.
The curtains are lovely, especially with the gentle breeze playing with them. Thank you, Kate, for sharing your life with us. And thank you, Anna, for the idyllic music.
Every video I watch, I just admire you and your life so much more. Watching your videos make me happier in my world for the moments I get. I’m so thankful you decided to create this channel and share your world with others. I’m in Arkansas in the United States and going through a rough patch. Good news, nothing lasts forever, and bad news, nothing lasts forever. However, the time I get with your videos are so happy. My plan is to create curtains for my bedroom. The window is tall and wide, but I’ll be happy with panels as I have blinds that I control the light with. I hope for so many blessings for you and your family.
When we finish a project and we sit back and look at it. What a good feeling that is.
I loved your smile when you were admiring your indigo curtains! It made me smile too. Oh what joy!
Hello, Kate! This is the first time I grasp the opportunity of addressing you. You really inspire me! I find it so cosy to hear someone so delicate and yet so strong, showing such lovely work you do. These curtains were lovely, and so were many other things you made and said. It's wonderful to have projects and wishes, no matter how old you are, isn't it? What I most appreciate in your videos is your capacity of making ordinary things one does every day make sense in life because you do them with simplicity, humour and most of all love. Thank you for sharing your solitude with us. God bless you.
There is nothing more satisfying than finishing a very long term project! The curtains are lovely.
Watching Kate smiling and seeing those beautiful curtains on her window for the first time was amazing. Thank you.
Indigo, indigo, the richer side of blue! ,Who would not love to see the light of the day change the indigo into different shades thru your sagely saved,New curtains. What pure joy we could see on your face as you saw the result! Thanks for Sunday's and a day with you. Jo in Texas.
I was just going to write that the curtains look like a stained glass window and you said it. They’re beautiful. Congratulations Kate. Magnificent.

Your curtains are lovely! I’m always amazed you have knitting going and leave it with no stoppers on the needles. I’m sure I’d have knitting everywhere, once it’s off the needle it’s done for me. I’m not a great knitter. Agnes’ sweater looks very complicated with all the markers.❤️❤️
I appreciate your videos AND that there are others who do several different projects at once! Also that even though we all do others things, I Love to do my crafts, a lot! Quilting and crocheting the most! 🇺🇸
I love it! You sew like I do! I’ve made my cup of coffee, and I confess a couple of mini powdered donuts, 😁 that I will pass along to whom ever is sitting next to me on the Lime Green Couch, and watch with joy, you Kate. ❤️
A day in the life…..thank you for taking us along. Love your curtains, I remember when you were dying them-beautiful! 😎
The indigo curtains turned out amazing! Loved the parade of sheep as well 💜🐏🐑
I found you this past week, and I absolutely love watching you! You make me feel like I’m right there in the room with you having a cup of tea. Your voice is so calming.
The indigo curtains are so light and airy. They give the room such a cheerful feeling! They really are gorgeous! Can't wait to see Agnes in her sweater. You will have to get some video of her when you finish it and give it to her for her birthday. I must say, you have quite a full life! Thanks for sharing. 😃
So happy to see you Kate... so glad to see you well!
I’m so glad to see that I’m not the only one who has multiple projects on the go! Such a busy day Kate. 💜💜
Fresh eggs and garden greens make such a healthy meal. The flock of sheep coming up the lane were fascinating to watch. I loved the curtains with the light shining through, so beautiful. Kate, I enjoyed spending the day tagging along with you. Hope to do it again sometime.
You must feel wonderful that you have your curtains up! They look like blue stained glass with the light shining through them.🥰🇨🇦
I really enjoyed the seeing the sheep, I had never seen a live sheep until I went to England. Do you imagine making lots of jumpers and socks when you see that much wool? Hee, hee. What a lovely town and so many trees and open sky. Beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing your day and the lovely curtains with us.
And what an absolutely glorious day it was with you dear Kate... thank you🥰🐏🐱💐
The curtains are gorgeous. The breeze blowing them is magical. Oh my. The sheep following that man are so precious. Love your sense of humor, camera in the frig. Hahahahaha. How nice Arne and Carlos mentioned you. I’m so impressed with your knitting. I don’t possess that skill, sadly.
I don't have enough thumbs to give this one its due. Just spectacular, I thought my heart would stop when those sheep came along. The curtains are wonderful, I can just imagine taking a mid day nap there with a gentle breeze blowing them around.
You make life so relaxing. Your voice is very soothing.
What a lovely video Kate, as always. Don’t be leaving your bag down on the LGS or it’ll disappear! Love the music, the drive to Hexham, the sheep, your knitting and, most of all, those curtains - I’m just off to see where I could possibly “need” some! Thankyou so much for sharing your day with us. 😊
I loved seeing the sheep on the way to town. This DITL was enjoyable. Nice to see the knitting projects. I also have lots of projects on the go at the same time, but we have to put them down for life, don’t we?
I really love the way the curtains came out. Watching the sun come in on them and seeing them in the sun is so beautiful. Loved the bit with Arne and Carlos so special. I love watching them. This podcast was very special to me, although all of your podcasts are. Your podcasts make my heart sing!
I love ALL your curtains; they are sooo beautiful with the light from outside shining in!😍
Kate, my mom was an AVID knitter! She must have knit 1,000 of those dish cloths, until her dementia got too bad to knit. I very much enjoyed seeing what your day is like! Those curtains are smashing!

What a delightful 'day in your life' for us to watch!!!! I love the shibori/Pojagi curtains...the wind blowing them was so beautiful! The 'sheep' stop was so adorable!!!! Always enjoy seeing your knitting...I've watched were you were cutting out the sleeves for your seed stitch piece. I'm trying to go through and watch all your videos. I agree with one of the comments....you make us smile listening and watching you. You are so much better than a tranquilizer!!! Listening to you is so soothing! I'd definitely would have you for a friend...instead, I'll settle for a Internet friend.

How nice to live a day in the life of Kate as it’s jam packed with creative activity. There are many highlights but a few that struck me were those gorgeous curtains, the sheep (!) and knitting along with Arne and Carlos, who led me to your channel. Enjoy your life, Kate!
This has to be the most beautiful video I have watched. Your curtains are gorgeous!! They do look like stained glass and with the breeze blowing, they are magical. The drive to town with you having to stop for the sheep made me tear up. The world is so upside down but seeing something so peaceful is wonderful!! You are a treasure..serene, creative and kind.

Thank you for taking us along on your day. Your curtains are lovely, they look like stained glass. You certainally have a lot going on in your life and I love your enthuasium for all that you create.
With Kate you can always learn something new: a new way to make drapes, a new way to make a flat felled seam, a new way to see the day. Thank You Kate for being you.
The curtains are absolutely lovely - especially hung with a gentle breeze coming through the open window. Loved spending the day with you.
The curtains are lovely! You are so natural in the camera and I so admire that! I live in Colorado now but raised our 6 children in California. They are spread out across the USA. The seams you made on the curtains are called flat felled here, often used in the inner seam of jeans and shirts. I’ve been sewing since I was 11 and am 80 now. Many years I sewed for family, all kinds of clothes including wedding ensembles eventually! Now I enjoy quilt piecing, intending to complete a quilt for each of my 15 grands, already have done a baby quilt for each of our 10 greats!!! Keeps me quite busy. Thought you might enjoy some of story of one of your fans. I’ve only discovered you in the past several months. I truly enjoy your videos when all is quiet here and I get inspired with each one! I so enjoy your British vernacular! And have been to Newcastle years ago!
