I think the one thing that unites Westie owners is every owner thinks their dog does something special. Then when you get in a group of Westie owners you learn that they all do that thing.

I lost my Westie on 12/1/18. Had him for 14 years. Miss him terribly!

It’s alright I had mine for fifteen but he was a jack russel terrier

I just lost my west no more than 20 hours ago, this just reminds me of how silly and cute she was all the time, always interested in what you’re doing but also very exploring and independent

So sorry for your loss. We lost one of our Cairns in January and it still hurts. We miss her every day. My wife and I couldn’t stand the house so quiet so we just got our first Westie girl. Some people say “ it’s just a dog” but those who have one of these special babies knows how they grab you by your heart and never let go.

Westies , are therapeutic , the best friend you will ever have ....

My Westie is called Lottie, she’s been in the family for 3 months today. Her previous family didn’t want her anymore, after having her since a puppy. She is nearly 11 years old. She brought so much joy in our lives, after our old dog crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge.

I’ve seen some cute dogs before but this little love bug tops the chart.

That is definitely the most adorable thing I have seen in a while.

That's great ! I lost my baby Sept 25th. She was 17 . People would say she gets around and looks great . Or I'd hear did you Say 17?? She had great health. How ever had a heart attack at home . I miss her. I wish you many more years!

We call ours polar bear , lama ,panda anything soft cuddly and daft as a Westie.

This really made me laugh. It took me back to all the fun times that we had together, Barney and me. Seeing you video was a medicine for me. Thanks.

My Dad has a 10 year old Westie male, he's a of bundle joy. The Westie is your bestie, he wants to be in the thick of the action and involved in everything you do, always eager to play, to be fussed and find adventure. Plus they are soo dam adorable.

I look at this little guy and all I can do is go "Awwwwww". He's such a cutie. I can't believe anyone would vote this down. People like that have such calloused hearts.

I really feel for you, Alaina. I had to,put my Marty down 11-26-19. after 16 yrs. It hurts like he--! I hope my husband allows me to get another Westie. They are truly the best!! You'll never forget your baby.

I lost my dog, Sophie, a westie, like a month or so ago... i'm trying not to cry u.u even Prince does not seem like my Sophie... it brings me so much joy to see that energy and that life, and it reminds me to my Sophie, of course u.u In her last months she was not so joyful and playful as this little dog is, but she did back in her "childhood" days ;u; I miss her a lot, even though this last years I didn't take care of her so much (our relationship was very tense xDDDD she was so grumpy, as she was getting old!). She was so close to her 14th bday when she died... rip Sophie u.u

This is so true especially in my senior 17 yr old westies life he loves to sleep est and go in the yard for quick potty breaks. He's completely blind and deaf and has arthritis. Other than that vet says he's healthy

I had 2 Cairn Terriers that were white with beige stripes down their back. I lost both of them this year 2 months apart. One of them looked exactly like yours here. By far, westies and their cairn cousins are one of the best companion breeds to have.

Lucky, my westie won't even let you touch her paws. She'll pull away and growl at you, telling to knock it off otherwise she'll bite. She's getting on a bit now, she turned 10 a few weeks ago. No matter how old she gets I'll always love, even when she's a pain.

Westies in the snow, what happy memories. My female would jump off of the back porch stairs into snow over her head and somehow manage to find her way back. The male would try to dig in it. They would come back inside covered in little snowballs. They're fun little dogs.

Bear in mind that this video is for entertainment only! It does not mean our every day is exactly the same. I made it just for my own fun as a teenager when we had no subscribers and it got only 50 views! It was a Saturday in 2015 and we have even moved since then! Be nice in the comments, I monitor them! He has a fluffy tail because I like it this way, it is my personal preference just like the “puppy haircut”. Prince’s fur is fluffy as it has only been cut with scissors ever since he was a puppy. I do not know if this works on every westie, but I’ve seen lots of “fluffy” westies on Instagram. Bear in mind that a dog with fluffy coat needs more grooming and washing as dirt gets stuck in the fur as opposed to harsh coat where dirt just falls off! My dogs get out three times a day and eat twice (only home cooked meals).

Omg so cute!!! We have a 13 yr old westie and hes is such a character! They definitely thrive off of attention. They are actually very energetic and playful (they arent lap dogs.... but sometimes are) and mine often acts like hes better or deserves to be first or most noticed above his sister (chihuahua) and his buddies. They definitely have a different personality than most small breed. Must be that scottish pride lol

No, he is a regular westie but his fur has only been cut with scissors.
