In fact you can go to mauritius all the year. Winter is in August and as you can sez in the video, the weather is very nice. However you will still have some rain like always in Mauritius
When was this? 2 months ago? How is the weather in december?

No because it was just a day at the hotel with no night reserved, and the hotel was full so I wasn't allowed to film a room
