I hope they all get paid well. A harness for any newer vehicle is over 1,000 bucks. I've seen some cost 10,000 cool video 😊

Nowhere to sit down while you're working? We have our own tables and do multiple jobs other than magnetic harness board jobs, so we have the luxury of being able to sit/stand as we want. We do wooden board jobs but we can set the board on our table and then sit down and work on it that way. Standing for too long kills my back anymore.

I always thought wire harnesses, especially in vehicles, were made by robotics. Learn something new everyday. By the looks of most of these connectors, I think these harnesses are being made for big trucks. I’ve been a diesel mechanic at a Freightliner dealership for over 20 years and they look awfully familiar.

I personally worked in JAE and i'll tell you that the entire process is operated by a human and there are machines but those still require a human to set up. Although I'm honestly surprised no one here wears a uniform or have IDs and certification badges. I usually thought all harness manufacturing companies like yazaki, mitsuba and JAE are hyper strict but over there it's pretty laid back.

@@adamskashalashaska5199 Where I work we follow ISO standards, the department heads all have IPC Certifications that are good for 2 years, and then the assemblers all have IPC Module One and Two training good for 2 years, but we don't get the actual IPC certificate because of how much it costs per employee.

I see a great deal of issues in there harness assembly process. Many things that can cause circuit damage

What issues are you seeing? I do this kind of work and we never have anything returned, unless say an inspector missed a connector that was wired wrong, or a length on their drawing changed and they never sent us the updated drawing. The zip ties are there just to hold everything together. Only kind of circuit issues might be if a zip tie is too tight on a wire and breaks through the insulation.
