Excellent video. I had my co2 and light timers all set up for 8 hours during the day when im not even home. But this makes perfect sense, have the lights and co2 on when im home from work, so i can enjoy watching the tank grow, thats the whole idea after all hey!? So now i have set it all for 4pm til 11pm. Thanks for this good advice
This was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
thank you for clearing my thoughts about aeration and co2 timing ,you gain lifelong subscriber.
Start with 6h in a new tank, after 1 month increase buy 30min every week, until 8h per day. Co2 ON 1 hour before light ON and turn off 1 hour before lights off. If got algae reduce light 1h, if problem not solved, reduce to 6h, never less than 6 hours.

Hi when should we doze liquid fertilizers in the tank is it before or after co2 and lights are switched on?
@zlk718

Ada recommends dosing liquid fertilizers while the lights are on. It's written in the manuals for their brighty line of ferts. They don't give a reason though.
Thank you, For a 60p heavily planted tank with a lot of red stem plants is 7 hours of light + 7 hours of co2 at 90 bubbles per minute(1.5 bubbles/second) good enough?
@NORIaquaCh
3 жыл бұрын
Official WASABI Moderator: 2 to 3 bubbles per second should do. Make sure you test the PH with a CO2 Indicator :)

I'd recommend you find a chiller, it acts as a refrigerator to your aquarium. You can set a specific and stable temp

If you leave the lights on for 24 hours even once, your plants start to die and melt. I did it by accident a month ago and my moss has never recovered fully. Get a timer!

I am using a hang on back filter. Should I turn it off if my CO2 is on?
@NORIaquaCh
3 жыл бұрын
The filter should be on 24/7, CO2 will be distributed by the filter, which is what you want. - Official WASABI Moderator.

@@NORIaquaCh Can I check if I’m also using hang on back filter. The placement of CO2 should be close to filter or the opposite? Thanks in advance 🙏🏼
My tank is placed on the balcony and it receives direct sunlight (not the entire aquarium) in morning as the sun rises for 30mins and stays in shade all day except when the sun sets, it receives a lil direct sunlight only on the substrate but i’m planning adding floaters. My question is should I turn my artificial light on day? Or is the light in balcony enough? Or turn my light at 6pm til 10pm? I have no idea what to do.
@NORIaquaCh
3 жыл бұрын
Official WASABI Moderator: This is a tricky one, UV plus an aquarium light will cause algae issues. If it's getting enough direct sunlight, you probably don't even need the light :)
Hi, should we continuously switch it on for 7-8 hours or can I turn on1 hour, switch off for 1 hour and then switch on for 1 hour and so on?
