Hello lovely Denise, everything is looking so incredibly amazing and beautiful and you’re not even done yet. I just love the guys that help you, and I love how you treat them and how you are also hands on with the work whenever possible. Where would you be without this wonderful team, and them, you. Beautiful relationships and team work. Please take care of yourself while working by keeping hydrated. Taking extra minerals helps. Where I live in the United States, in Arizona, it gets up to 116 degrees Fahrenheit! We’ve had a few deaths already here, and they very sadly included a young 10 yr old boy who passed away last week while trying to hike with his family. The heat is nothing to mess around with. 💜👏🌺

Lovely Denise I really hope you are feeling better. So scary to have to go to hospital without Brett for support. The chateau is coming to life in all directions. The gates are beautiful and what joy not to have to open and close manually. The mouldings look good and can’t wait to see that room painted. I can only imagine how excited you must be. Then there is the spa area. Wow that will be gorgeous. I can just see the boys in their towelling dressing gowns getting relaxed🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👌👌

I love how you look after your team Denise. We (the viewer) can see how they appreciate it by the hard yards they're putting in to help you get the chateau spa ready. You too are working very hard and so whatever it is that popped you into medical care may be a reminder to nurture yourself as well. Naturopath here, always telling people what to do lol. I'm from NZ (have lived in Oz / once upon a time) and I can definitely see how your life and interior design training in Australia has influenced your classic timeless, yet rustic sense of style. What a shock to see you in the hospital Denise. I couldn't stop thinking about it all through the remainder of the video. Hope you're feeling much better now. I finally stopped working at 68 and have put off so much the last two years in particular that I now need to get around too....but the words 'go easy' keep rolling around in my head. I am waiting to see what the entrance to that spa cave will be like from the outside of the château. I would say dig out 3 feet more of dirt on each side. Then break it off or stone it off to match the exterior of the château. And then you will have an outside patio for the spa

Need to take care of yourself, Denise 😊 The patio is gorgeous. Has a solution of bleach been put down then powered off used? Will brighten the pattern again. Wow! Plunge pool in the cave how lovely and almost womb like. Reminds me of Roman plunge pools. Grey...... so disappointed 😞 It's the 21st century equivalent of magnolia, ubiquitous and boring. Lovely pattern, not lovely colour. Silver is much better. Lighter, not dull, and the chateau deserves that!

Is there any way you can make the sound consistent? I find myself adjusting the volume throughout the videos hoping that someone would notice. Perhaps a lapel microphone would be helpful. You have a very soft voice. There is rarely an issue when the men speak except when windy or in the basement where then is unable to bounce off the walls. I also find the great music you have is overpowering Anxious for the grand opening.

It was very difficult to hear you at the beginning because of the echo in the room. It sounded like you weren't wearing a microphone and we're speaking softly. 😊 Oh, I just saw where you were I'll. I'm so sorry. I'm 67 and it's still difficult sometimes to make myself listen to my body when it's telli g me to stop and rest. We want to argue with ourself and say, "I'm almost finished, just a little bit more." But sometimes the little bit more can have tragic consequences. Everyone knows you work very hard. Don't worry about anyone judging you if you need to pause. You are their driving force.They need you to stay well to captain the ship. Your health is more important than deadlines. You may have to adjust your goals or expectations. My daughter was 10 or 12 when I was frantically preparing to host a neighborhood Christmas party. I was upset because a couple of the decorations I wanted out weren't done. She said. "You know mom, They won't know they're missing. You are the only one who cares." I've remembered her wisdom through the years when I put too much pressure on myself. I hope it's something that will resonate with you. You have accomplished more in a few weeks with your amazing team than many chatelains do in a couple of years. Take pride in that and stay healthy. ❤

Denise, I am not sure about France. In the USA, when digging in basements or crawl spaces, they have a test to test for Rayon Gas. That can make people sick. My sister had to have a pipe with a meter on it to monitor the gas because she had it in her basement.

While you are working so hard make sure you are drinking enough water and eat an apple with a little salt on it to keep electrolyte's up. I get heat stroke and it's not nice and can be very dangerous. You know you are in big trouble if you stop sweating. get to somewhere cool and sip sports drinks. You have to be very careful after heat stroke it can happen again very easily once you have been affected.
