Your boys are so adorable and I can't get over how smart Saint is. As a mother of two boys myself, who are both in their 30s now, I have enough experience to know a smart little boy when I see one. You and Conor are wonderful parents because it shows through your children. Enjoy them.

Thank you so much for sharing your BFing experience. It is SO hard, my daughter would not accept a bottle either so I exclusively BF for 13months god knows how!! But it absolutely drained the life out of me. If I'm being honest the real reason I stuck with it for so long, and didn't introduce the bottle earlier, was because of social pressures, from the NHS, social media, friends and family. I'm a woman who also has a life to live, and yes feeding my baby is an absolute priority but it is just that, fed is best and that should not come at the expense of our mental and physical health. Anyway love and blessings, you're doing a great job! xxx

As a breastfeeding mama to my gorgeous 7 month old baby boy, I needed to hear this! I love breastfeeding but my mental health needs to be top priority. You’ve inspired me to start supplementing with a bottle here and there to give myself time to recharge. Thank you and love you 🤍✨

I cannot believe this video featured the 'heartbreak of premature ending of breast feeding'. Last night and today I think my 11 week old has just decided to stop breathing feeding. I have breast fed and bottle fed her 50/50 since birth. Its been completely out of my control but listening to this video I've realised I've been sonlucky to have even had the first 3 months. So if my baby continues showing signs over the next few days of stopping breastfeeding I'm just going to accept her choice. Thanks for sharing this elle.❤

Another gorgeous video!! Just a little food for thought regarding the first section of this video. This was something that helped me immensely when being in a similar place with my routine and body image and maybe it could help you. It's all around having integrity with yourself and your word in this space. So when you vow and say "no I'll get up tomorrow and do it.. or i'll start next week" and you don't, you are not having integrity to your own commitment. So when the next time comes around that you make that vow, you are much more inclined to put it off again or not follow through because you have proven to yourself from past actions that you don't have integrity to your word and you expect this no behaviour from yourself anyway so it doesn't matter if I miss it today? And that feeling of constantly falling short of your own word and not having integrity with it leaves you feeling so mentally icky and insecure with yourself; which eventually loops into the cycle that goes beyond just feeling physically yuck. For me, just being aware of this highlighted the importance to get that next planned workout in and make those food choices, and eventually you stack evidence that you can do it, you trust yourself to follow through on your own personal commitments and that cycle eventually breaks. Of course, a massive amount of grace and understanding needs to be given to mothers who have sacrificed so much of themselves to grow their beautiful children, but when it comes to getting those parts of yourself back this mindset helped alot. The Keeping It Cleaner (KIC) app is a fabulous space to start this again, lots of home workouts ranging from pilates, strength, HITT, running and yoga all of which sit around 20 mins so (feels so achievable when feeling mentally pressed for him and energy) and so many gorgeous recipes xx

I’m so happy you spoke about breastfeeding. I had my first baby in August and managed 4 weeks solely breastfeeding and then added in formula due to recommendations from midwife’s due to my mental state. I am still so heartbroken it didn’t go as I thought and I feel like I’ve let him down. It’s such a mind game but now we are 10 weeks in I know I did what was best for me and Otto ❤

Hi Ellie, I’m 57 now, and still remember my breastfeeding story feeling it did not go right. I had milk fever like yourself and post natal depression. Also struggling with the birth. You have done amazingly, Ellie your babies are so beautiful and so are you ❤❤. Talking of London, I’m hoping to visit the Harry Potter tour in London, I’m a big kid, would be amazing place to take the children maybe when their a boy older. Or just for yourselves that’s if your into Harry Potter. Lol ❤the pumpkins were wonderful. The soups look amazing I’m it well will give those a try

I breast fed as a first time mum for over 2 years. It was really hard. I had mastitis twice and had to go into hospital at least 3 times to have a lump in my breast drained. I fed from one side for about a year. I think I had postpartum depression. My daughter just would not take formula. It was really difficult to stop. I had to have her sleep out for two nights it was awful. I was relieved and heartbroken at the same time so I understand. It took so long to feel like myself again. My daughter was 3 years old by the time it happened. I remember it was like a bubble had burst. I really want another but I've been diagnosed with a chronic illness and the medication I'm taking does not work for pregnancy 😢. I tried to stop but I was too ill without it 😮😮😮😢

As a first time 23 year old mum, I breastfed exclusively for 18 months. My son never took a bottle of my expressed milk and I never tried formula. Now that I’m out of that bubble I can recognise how much I struggled. My body wasn’t my own. He cluster fed every 30 minutes day and night until he was 15 months old and I had to take him for a weeks stay in tressillian (Australian). I want to go back and give myself a cuddle and tell her you’re putting too much pressure on yourself. But I wouldn’t change a thing - breastfeeding isn’t supposed to be “easy” for everyone. Even 18 months on. Glad you’re putting yourself first ❤

I totally understand your statement about breastfeeding my first I breastfed for 1 week he just wasn’t latching it was so stressful and he had sever colic constantly crying and screaming, my second I stopped this April he’s 3 and a half and was addicted to the breast he still says now boobie is his best friend 😅😢, I’ve just had my third and breastfed for 2 days I decided I needed to do what’s best for me unfortunately it can feel really isolating breastfeeding and stressful it’s all on me having my husband help bottle feed has made me feel like a weight is lifted off my shoulders I miss the bond and how wonderful breastfeeding is but gosh it’s also so intense

I can so relate on the BFing thing. With my first is exclusively BF for 18 months. I’m due another baby in January and I’ve decided not to BF this baby. I’m exclusively formula feeding. I’m doing it for my mental health, I found BF so draining and it made my PND worse. I’m hoping this time because I will have help and able to have a break from feeding that my mental health won’t suffer so much. You should never feel need to explain yourself.
