Im getting annoyed by these cool tool videos. Show the thing first then build it. Stop making things a mystery. You made a jig to cut circles on a table saw. Thats not a tool

Thanks for stating that. I had watched the whole video and marvelled about the craftsmanship. However I was thinking that the circles were another part of a jig. There are parallel ideas for a locking sled jig. Maybe I am intelligently challenged or even craftsmanship challenged...

@WanderingHead91367 the locking sled part was a nice take away for me. Neat trick. It's not explained well. I do prefer the shorter to the point videos. The shots were clear and consice. Fantastic camera work. I'd say start the vid with a tool demo then full video with subtitles for key parts or guides.

Never make rip cuts like that! The very first thing he does is risk cutting his fingers off. Use a push stick to clear the stock from the blade completely. When you reach past the blade to clear the stock, it could potentially bind and pull you hand into the blade. Or kick back into you. I had a professor with his left thumb missing. He said he was making a rip cut without a splitter, and the internal tension in the stock caused it to bind between the fence and blade and it kicked back at him. He flenched and stuck is thumb right into the blade. Don’t risk it.

Whenever I get a video like this I skip to the end to see what the end result is then either watch it or not (usually not). It's a shitty idea not to show the actual item to be built in the opening image then the build. It's a circle cutting jig btw.

I don't believe I just witnessed the piece of material being pulled back thru the saw. That is a super way to get wacked with a kickback. Be warned.

There should be "fact checkers" who can moderate videos showing very dangerous unsafe use of tools like this. Someone is going to get hurt badly when they use the tablesaw like this.
