I had a near death experience 21 years ago. There is not a day that I don’t flash back to what I witnessed and who I saw. I will never fear death again because I know what and who is waiting for me. A feeling of pure love. If your body temp was 98.6 and the air was exactly the same, and the light was the brightest you had ever seen but you didn’t need to shield your eyes, if the colors were more vivid than you had ever seen, if your family members including your pets were now young again and if you had zero feeling of pain, as if you were part of a cloud, then this is heaven. And this is exactly what I experienced.

After my grandma passed away, during those few weeks, every time I went to her house I smelt her scent which is the same smell when she was in hospital. It's like she was there but in invisible form. The scent came close to me even when our car hadn't turned into the lane in her front yard. I asked other people if they smell the scent, and the answers were all no. I was the only one able to smell it. When I was a child, my grandma was the only sunshine I had. My mom was very abusive. She beat me often. Even a trivial tiny little thing can trigger her crazy mode. She even tried to murder me a few times. I'm lucky to be still alive. I was always hoping my dad to stop my mom, but it'd never happened. It turned out my dad cares about nothing in the family because of his many affairs. My grandma was my protector in my childhood, and I really believe she did it on purpose after her passed away to let me know there is something out there. Don't give up, despite the fact that your life is full of assholes.

"...his ways , ways that can’t really be explained to us right now" Yahuah has shown us His Ways very specifically with the Torah ( Genesis - Revelations) preached by the messengers and prophets and through magnified and fully preached by His own son Yahushua who is the WAY ( Torah made flesh) to the Father. Deu 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. Deu 30:12 It is not in shamayim, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to shamayim ( pw heaven), and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Deu 30:13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Deu 30:14 But the word (Torah) is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. Eben does not know or keep the Torah but preaches a false 'god". I feel this is misleading. Eternity is all about Jesus and His death and resurrection. We need forgiveness and to receive Gods grace. Love is many different things. We can love ourselves and strive for selfish gains. The only good love is God's love. If our lives rest in God then that love is selfless. If everything we do is to honour God, that is God's love. We are all loved by God, that's true but we can only reach God through Jesus.

I lost my father at 99 years osage, just months shy of his 100th birthday, on August 20th of this year. I had been his full-time carer for 12 years. He died in my arms at hospital. His death was so peaceful to almost be imperceptible, I was not sure that he had gone as I still held him. During the last week of his life, a change had come over him. It was a change much the same I witnessed in my late mother leading up to her transitioning in 2005. Wisdom - the wisdom of Love! - was at work in them and I felt not alone at all as the way was prepared for both my parents to leave me, my father who had become my son especially. I am convinced that during my father's final days, when the frailest of thoughts gave to each of us our strength to accept the inevitable, my father's love for me as he expressed it was my Father's love. It was pure, untainted by any aspect of the life spanning 99 years to which it had bore witness, a thing more seemingly divine so seamlessly real. And so, for whatever it is worth, I can offer the following: We come into this world so to take leave of it, born to die but only our bodies for does the rest of us, what is the best of us, lives on. On and on and on. Although we might not first realize it upon entering this life save what memories they do carry us forward, not one of us can avoid the inevitable frailties made to order we all shall feel. Yet within the slackening pace we face, Love's power will prove our only strength, whatever the length of our days. Only Life sets the limits Love alone seeks to transcend, that whatever it is you feel bound by will you move beyond. Just as there are only two states either Love or fear, have we equally only two dynamics to choose from, although they themselves are not equal, our weakness or our strength. Love is strong; the light of it long-reaching but weakness it ever recedes. Under Love's reign no pain is left unhealed, not even the grief we feel as much of Grace when the face of one we love fades out before our sight, the pall of night now near it falls sometimes to stall then start again. But no! Nothing is forever gone, and certainly not to those who live so wisely no miserly thought can overcome them. In good stead they redeem the world and all its glory, glad are they who are as Love originally created them. And so it is that regardless of what you think and even more, regardless of what you see and feel yield not yourself unto it, not unless through the eyes of Love whose vision it is your God to you, the invisible appears just as real.

This is what we all need to hear, ponder, and grasp ourselves, more often. As Dr. Eben speaks to this pastor, there is a strong conviction in this conversation, of the reality of a loving, Sovereign God-who is able to rescue and save our souls! There is no reality grander, no human endeavor more urgent, in its acknowledgment and its expression, than to express with utmost gratitude that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. Incidentally, the bright Light that Dr. Eben saw, serves to prove the testimony of John, in John 1, which describes Jesus Christ as: (1) "the true light that enlightens every man," and, (2) as the "light which shines in the darkness, which the darkness has not overcome." I, for one, always rejoice in the revelations that NDE's can bring, especially when the Sovereignty of Jesus is expressed. --[B.A.R.]

Agree, it would be bizarre if it was : 1)Humans are material objects with a complex neural network in the brain. 2)When the body breaks somehow, life and consciousness ends. 3)Your body rots in the ground to be eaten by maggots and worms. THE END. I've thought about life after death and ever since. I really hope that these NDEs are "real". Otherwise it is just too nonsensical.

@@RiemannHypothesis2 well certainly there is no compelling evidence that complex neural networks generate consciousness. this seems the most "logical" concept to most scientists, but i am yet to be convinced by the materialist's argument. If people are having out of body experiences with ultra lucid perception and meeting deceased relatives this suggests to me it is more than hallucination. however, it could have something to do with the flood of DMT into the brain at the point of death which apparently gives people a sense of detachment from the body and travelling to other worlds. who knows. it certainly brings comfort.

I was attacked in a hotel. 6hrs of my life I can't remember, only the moments before and the moments after the attack, which seemed to be consequently, until I looked at my watch. Even though my head was being smashed against a door frame front on, I felt no pain, no fear, I could only see. No knowledge existed of the reality with which we live. No awareness is the best way to put it. Like a baby before the slap on it's butt. My body was shutting down, I was doing and had no idea because you have no idea to have an idea. The only pain I felt was near my belly button, it was so intense. My body, without thought or instruction escaped to get on the toilet. I got there and placed my head between my knees. I heard a calm, feminine voice softly whisper one word... "breathe". It didn't come through my ear or from inside my head, it came from somewhere else straight their the crown of my head. It was external. I took the biggest breath of my entire life. THEN and ONLY THEN, did I have any awareness. I was extremely exhausted, like I'd ust given birth multiple times and then ran a marathon to do it all over again. It took several hrs for total awareness to return to me. What happened to me was terrible, but I KNOW there's more to existence than this reality and we are mind, body & soul (true consciousness).

Dr. Eben Alexander's experience showed human consciousness "collapses the wave function" to create "hard reality." Our consciousness is a work of cocreation, a concept that continually popped up in my poetry, seemingly out of thin air. Our bodies are mortal, but our spirit is Immortal--Then I discovered my poetry was Gnostic, but I had not known what Gnosticism was about. Then I began to understand the “dazzling darkness” I had witnessed in meditation, and the weird poetry many found so evocative. More details in my second book, Surviving the Micronova: This Train is on the Tracks"

Sometimes, science and religion work against one another -- when they work against one another, it is only because they are doing their very best to learn how to work together to seek answers to solve human problems. Science and religion are both seeking answers. Science is seeking the truth. Religion is seeking the truth. Science and Religion are very much like Yin and Yang. Science and religion are very similar, even if they are so different. Science and religion can reach common ground and express the same truth. We have to learn to co-exist and cooperate. Science does not have a monopoly on the truth. Religion does not have a monopoly on the truth. We have to be open to the truth, and the truth exists in all areas of life and in all disciplines of knowledge. We must keep an open mind in our search for the truth. We can all be right, and we can all be wrong. It is all a matter of perspective. We can have two opposing views, and both views can be correct at the same time.

I had a NDE as a child because that female that was supposed to be my mother was so unhappy, so vicious, so distant. I was terribly hated for saying 'THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS DEATH". In my 20s I found quantum physics that says nothing is physical or solid. Turns out those billion dollar energy colliders built around the world never find solidity, only energy. Tesla said this when he said existence is energy. Energy can't die because it is constantly spinning and vibrating and pulsating. This means all of us. We all consist of 7 billion billion billion atoms, each one spinning billions of times a second as quarks burst forth spinning billions of times a second as 3 points of light forming protons and neutrons. This proves the constant creation of everything as light, a matrix of light that is eternal, a holodeck where we are holograms within it being projected. So creation is constant and we can't die because we are constantly being created. Will anyone but the physicist Barbara Brennan ever understand this? I can't ever be married until I meet a man that understands all of this.

I find it interesting when he mentions that the main function of the brain is to restrict what it filters or allows in (i.e., conscious experience) which involves the self and the non-self. This is an aspect proposed by latter day depression treatment where clinicians are suggesting that psychedelics can be of therapeutic value as they also impact this part of consciousness known as the DMN, default mode network, or that filter which basically gives us our ego or our personality. When this neural network can be overridden or subdued, theoretically this results in ego-death which may explain the sense of amnesia the doctor reported. When your DMN is no longer in control, other experiences can be allowed to occur. This may be augured by a naturally occurring compound in the brain that is released upon physical death (several stages of death to even go into) that are supposed to assuage the disconnected consciousness into a happy afterlife. Shamans have used the psychedelic ayahuasca, which is said to have a similar chemical structure to that of the brain compounds released upon death. These compounds are thought to be directly involved in NDEs (reports of visions during coma or near death experiences where the conscious goes to before the physical body is revived back to life).

have you heard of DMT? i read a book about experiences of people injected with DMT under scientific observation. there is no doubt in my mind that DMT and the NDE are strongly linked. I am not suggesting the NDE is an illusion brought on my DMT, but I think DMT plays a part in the expansion of consciousness at the point of death. The only thing I am confused about is when people are given anaesthesia they have a sense of their consciousness disappearing to the point where they black out. so i am confused why anaesthetic drugs would do this to consciousness. if consciousness is a separate entity then in theory anaesthesia should not affect a person's awareness, but it does. what are your thoughts on this?

@@Dion_MustardConsciousness nor awareness fully shut off during anesthesia, nor sleep, nor death. "Loss of consciousness" appears simple for the layperson but is really not, nor is death. "His eyes are closed and he is sleeping therefore he must be unconscious" is a standard observation and on one level of perception this is a true deduction. But I argue that pharmakos can only dull one level of perceptual awareness (5x5 sensory). IOWs, anesthesia does not dissolve all levels of consciousness. Anesthesia disallows recollection based on limited reception in the 5x5 repository, but consciousness still lives outside of physical perception. Your eyes are closed when you are sleeping and you will not typically recall everything 5x5 in your environment. And yet many people will awake moments before the clock alarm...how does this occur if they are totally unconscious? I think what we have here is a fuzzy line in describing what is consciousness, and because humans like simplicity, gray areas do not register for most.

Guys, I have the best news! I may have been to Heaven, before, when I (almost) died, and it is absolutely beautiful. It is a beautiful valley, filled with trees, grass, flowers, animals (such as butterflies), waterfalls, and more. Dr. Eben Alexander went to Heaven in his coma, recognized someone he saw in his coma later and this person had been deceased for a long time. They had never even met. Energy cannot be destroyed, it can only change form! We are made of energy! We never cease to exist! And we're always aware! I remember being under general anesthesia when I was getting my wisdom teeth out. It was black the whole time, but that's okay! The brain does not create consciousness/awareness. There is also no such thing as nothingness, and you're always seeing something. Consciousness/awareness exists in the universe, outside the brain, and has always existed, even before we were born. Consciousness will continue to exist for all of eternity. Even if it's black for a while, it won't be black forever. And even if it is, you'll be fine! The dark is nothing to fear! Consciousness/awareness pervades in the universe! There is in fact something after death, either you go to Heaven, you come back as a ghost, or you reincarnate. There is a period of time where everything is black, but it's only temporary! The fact that I saw "black" instead of true nothingness means I wasn't truly unconscious! Consciousness/awareness cannot be destroyed! Dr. Eben Alexander remembered seeing Heaven in a coma when his brain activity was next to none (not enough that he should have been conscious!) In fact, he even recognized someone in a photo months after his coma that he saw in his coma that he had never even met before. This person had been deceased for several months, maybe even a few years! Good news, right? It means there really is life after death! There's such a thing as reduced consciousness/awareness, but true unconsciousness/complete lack of awareness is impossible! The darkness you experience after death is only temporary. I also remember being under general anesthesia in the hospital, and I could see and hear everything around me, despite the fact that I was completely out. It means my spirit was outside my body and I was having an out-of-body experience. I was astral projecting, and my consciousness/awareness was still there, outside my brain! All of this means life after death, heaven, ghosts, reincarnation, God, etc., are REAL! Great news! Being unconscious, at least in medical standards, means to be unresponsive. It doesn't mean you're not aware in some way or form. Many people think general anesthesia knocks you completely unconscious. However, this is not true. Our awareness exists in the universe, outside the brain, has always existed, and continues to exist for all of eternity. General anesthesia works by *interrupting nerve signals in the brain and body.* It does not knock you out completely, in fact, like I said, consciousness/awareness cannot be destroyed. According to an article I read, EVERYTHING is made of energy, including thoughts, consciousness, feelings, and even the human body! And energy CANNOT BE DESTROYED! This means I was right about the fact that we never cease to exist! In fact, NOTHING ceases to exist! Ever! The energy that lives within us does not disappear after death, even when everything goes black temporarily. Our energy simply gets rearranged! A few quotes from the article I found include: -Common forms of energy include solid mass or as non-solid matter, such as heat, light, electrical, sound, gravitational, potential (stored energy) and kinetic (energy of motion). Quantum physics states that mass and energy are interchangeable, and consequently that mass is merely a manifestation of energy. This means that everything, including humans, is simply energy stored in mass particle form. -According to the theories associated with the universal energy field. all matter and psychological processes - thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and attitudes - are composed of energy. When applied to the human body, every atom, molecule, cell, tissue and body system is composed of energy that when superimposed on each other create what is known as the human energy field. -From an energy medicine perspective, energyrefers to subtle, imperceptible forces frequently described as a vital force or life force that flows through the body. Since all matter and psychological processes - thought, beliefs, emotions, and consciousness - are composed of energy, the physical body is therefore the manifestation or representation of an energy field made of superimposed dynamic segments of vibration. -Nothing rests. Everything vibrates. Everything, in some subtle way, moves. Ceasing to exist after death? Our consciousness disappearing? Unconsciousness, even temporarily? Hah! Not a chance! Also, (what I am about to tell you is great news for people who don't believe!) I can say with utmost confidence that the teaching of eternal torment in Hell is a lie. It is a false teaching that is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit because it implies that God is sadistically cruel and vindictive when in fact he is the exact opposite. He is loving, kind, caring, forgiving, omnipresent, and omnipotent. God IS Love! Now, to talk about it in more detail, we first need to know the origin of this blasphemous teaching. This teaching comes from a mistranslation of the word "Sheol", which simply means the state or abode of the dead. It also comes from a mistranslation of "Gehenna", which is a literal garbage dump outside the state and city of Jerusalem. Another misinterpretation is that of an "eternal fire." Eternal fire means a fire that has eternal consequences, not one that doesn't go out. A city in Israel was "destroyed by an eternal fire", but this fire has gone out. It's just that the fire permanently destroyed said city. There is biblical proof of universal reconciliation, for example, Colossians 1:19-20 (New International Version), which says "For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross." The Bible also says that God desires to save everyone. How could people teach something so false, cruel, and blasphemous as a SCARE TACTIC into making someone Christian? It is so wrong! I honestly feel like crying due to a huge mix of emotions, including extreme happiness and excitement, anxiety, and sadness.

He talks about how consciousness expands at the point of death, but often, for instance when someone is rendered unconscious, their consciousness does the opposite, and they just "black out", so I wonder why this happens if consciousness expands when brain ceases to work. Another example is anaesthesia. When the substance is put into your vein you begin to "close down" and suddenly oblivion, so I wonder why consciousness doesn't do the opposite during anaesthesia. So many questions, but ultimately I believe his experience was a genuine one, and I am enthralled by the concept of "non-local" consciousness.

She also said that Jesus loves EVERYONE... Even bad and mentally ill people.

Jesus didn’t teach reincarnation he taught resurrection. There is a big difference between them. Reincarnation is coming back as something else and resurrection is being raised back to life as yourself in spirit without flesh and blood. No one with flesh and bones can enter heaven but your soul, which your conscience is part of.

Frustrating the director of this show doesn't understand camera angles. We're looking at profiles the entire time. Move the close-up camera far left so you're looking at Dr. Eben's face straight on. Hopefully this is fixed in the future (too late now for this interview of course).

His NDE is unique in that, unlike other NDES, he was amnesiac during the 7 days of coma, which means he didn't have any memory of his life on earth. That makes me uneasy and less confident on the consciousness independent from brain or any part of body. Doesn't it possibly imply that his consciousness during his NDE was somehow under the influence of his brain function which was so much damaged by meningitis?

Religion will never accept this man's testimony as long as they embrace Christology as a paradigm for faith and eternal life. Oneness is the gateway to God and God alone is our true identity. Christology is that which points identity away from the self and its religious attachments. Christology as a role and function points to God or that which is ultimate.

How are you going to accept this guys story if you are a Christian? His story is completely against the teachings of Jesus. Be wary of wolves in sheep's clothing. Be very wary of anyone who tells you they seen heaven and or hell.
