Iran and Afghanistan are neighboring countries at the confluence of the Middle East and South-Central Asia. As evidenced by clay tablets dating back to 5400 BC, each country has greatly contributed to the evolution of music in that region. During antiquity, this region was connected by anetwork of trade routes known as the Silk Road, connecting the East to the West. This region became central to cultural exchange between the East and West for many centuries enabling artists and musicians to expand their arts, music and cultural heritage beyond the limits of their respective boarders. In the same spirit as the Silk Road, C-Sharp International is proud to introduce a unique cultural event showcasing the music of Iran and Afghanistan.
