A complete recovery from tinnitus is possible.

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

A complete recovery from tinnitus is possible. By this I mean hearing silence in a quiet room. There is a thin line between not being aware of it and then listening out for it and then switching back on into being able to hear your own nervous system, but when you are over tinnitus, have moved on and are no longer listening out for danger and the alarm bells have stopped ringing, it just goes away. This is not a miracle, this is not rare, it is just what happens when people settle, move onto other things and stop checking up on tinnitus all the time. I wish health practitioners would stop saying there is no cure. It is just not true. On-line you mostly see people who still have not got better. The ones who have got better are not on line.

It’s true! I was hopeless, my tinitus was so strong that I doubt I will have “normal” life again. I hardly thought about anything else. Don’t loose hope, it gets better over time and eventually fade away completely. I promised myself to return to this videos once it’s better. Mostly people don’t, so it doesn’t look good. Just don’t overthink it and live your life.

Hi, no worries. I'm a man of almost 22 and I'm crying like a baby some times of the day... You're not alone. We're with you, I swear. My tinnitus came randomly in the middle of the night while sleeping at 3 A.M. I was sick for a week and it was almost over and I didn't listened to too loud music or anything it just came out of nowhere. I was sitting in my bed and thought by myself "WTF is this sound I don't want this for the rest of my life!" It was like I immidiatly recognized the reality of it and I knew what was going on because I remember the beeping from sometime, like everyone got it once in a while and it was over after 30 seconds but since that night it never went away and I'm just like you sitting home hoping this day and the next day will be fine ...When you don't think about it and are distracted it's all fine but as soon you're alone or without any background noise the zooming or ringing will come up and you just can't ignore it...

You know I really do not know how to start this, so I am just going to speak freely. THIS IS TO ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO IS SUFFERING FROM THIS AND ARE DESPERATE! I had tinnitus for a very long time. It all started with me actually blowing my nose really hard in the shower, crazy crazy hard and I felt that it immidietly damaged my ear. Even though I was in the shower and it can get pretty loud, I felt that something was wrong. I came out of the shower and I could hear a loud beep in my left ear. And I immidietly start panicking. I was reminded of all the times in high school they would show us videos on tinnitus about people attending concerts without earplugs and getting this horrible disease. It was absolutely horrible! I could not sleep that night because it was honestly a 10 out of 10 sound. It was loud, man! I could not sleep but I almost half fell a sleep for a couple of minutes. But when I woke up it was still there. I was freaking the fuck out and I was so sad. I was so sad and all I was thinking was how I wish I could turn back time. And everything in y life changed. How I ate, how I slept, how I watched movies, listened to music, drank coffee or alcohol or enjoyed sugary treats, my relationship with my wife and friends. It was horrible. I got really depressed. I went online and read about it, I talked to doctors (several different ones), and they all told me to learn how to deal with it and that it would get better with time, in the sense that I would get used to it. I would learn how to live with it. This bothered me. You see, I have always been a person with great faith in God. I suddenly, very spoiled, but felt betrayed. Eventually BOTH my ears started ringing. It just got worse and worse I became a very bitter person and I just focused on the tinnitus and allowed it to take control over me. I remember my wife promising me that this would not last. She is no doctor and no expert, but hearing that promise from her, gave me faith and comfort. I found two people on youtube that did NOT cure me, but most definitely helped me. Liam and Julian were those two people. After 10 months of constant battle, I finally beat and cured my tinnitus. I went from 10 to a 0. I honestly hear silence again now. These are my biggest advices: 1. Have faith and be sure that you WILL beat this if you absolutely believe that you can. If you listen to the negative people or read negative comments and doubt that you will be cured, than I promise you that you will not be cured. This may upset people, but I am sorry. This is what I can say based on experience and this is what I believe. Total faith in yourself! 2. Do not go on the internet and read horror comments or negative shit about this condition! 3. Do not constantly check on your ear and see if it has become worse or better! Ignore it and breathe, stay calm. Relax! Even if it is a slow road, staying calm and having faith will allow you to get there quicker! 4. Focus on what you want to hear and your brain will slowly adapt and listen. 5. Live and behave as if your tinnitus is gone. Now, I do not mean listen to loud music....but trick yourself and your brain into believing that it has vanished or that it is going to vanish. 6. Do not focus on the amount of time you have had your tinnitus. Remember, STRESS MAKES TINNITUS WORSE! 7. Do NOT listen to people who say that there is no cure! There are no miracle pills, but with work and discipline you can beat this. I PROMISE you! I am living proof, and so are many more! Remember, people have beat cancer, learned to walk again and etc 8. Do not feel sorry for yourself or have regret about how you got tinnitus. 9. Remember to feel grateful! I know that this may sound strange. But it could be a lot worse. You could be blind, you could lose the ability to walk, you could have your face ripped off in an accident. (God bless all people who deal with these things) Stay grateful!! 10. If there are nights when you have a spike, or if there are days when you hear a new sort of sound....CALM THE FUCK DOWN! It will pass! Try fasting (I fasted for 18 hours every day), do not be afraid to eat meat (especially liver), meditate, drink less caffeine and alcohol, eat less sugar, exercise whenever you can. I had to come back and write this down, because I was depressed and desperate. Now get your life back! You can do it, I promise you that you can. Save this and read it again when you feel despair. Be a good person and be kind to people. It is ok to take the high road but at the same time do not let people disrespect you. I am sending love to you all....you CAN beat tinnitus, and you WILL if you want to and believe you can!

@@bernadettechung5098 I tried everything you can possibly imagine. I tried cold showers, tai chi, thyme in the ears, meditation, fasting, juicing, supplements....you name it! The ringing was either a 10 or the absolute best was an 8 for months! Constantly! And every time an "expert" told me that it would be this way forever and I would just have to learn to live with it, it made it worse because my faith lowered. But I did all the things everybody says...and at best it became a 7 or a 6. I could still hear it! But the day when I decided that I will live and behave as if this WILL eventually disappear and I will NOT let a sound diminish my enjoyment of life...and I had faith. REAL 100% faith. That's when one day I woke up and heard absolutely nothing! It lasted only a couple of seconds, but just that gave me all the faith I needed that it will go away. So I never kept a track record after that, and now I hear silence in the most quit rooms

But is that tinnitus? I always been hearing that some type of noise in a very quite room. Is that normal? Yesterday I was focusing on it a lot and it got louder? Do you think it's normal and I was just over thinking and focusing to hard on something that isn't there? Idk but I'm kinda scared but I remember I always been hearing this but it never effected me at all because I thought it's normal but now that I started watching videos on this with people's negative comments I'm getting scared but when I stop thinking about it like it's still their but I just forget about it and don't really hear it idk if that's just room noise or tintiuous plz help me idk

Great idea. Why use pink noise when it’s already in my head? I do understand the principle Peter Studenik wrote about using it below the T volume to retrain the brain not to hear ones own T. I’ve not tried it to that extent as it requires listening to pink noise 8 hours a day along with reducing stress. It worked for him tho.

I received a blood patch for the headache, but a few days later I noticed an intense high pitched ringing. At first, I went through the 5 stages of grief every night. It is possible! I had it for a few years (because i couldn't stop thinking about it). It was very loud and most of the time there were 6 different sounds. But now I don't have it anymore, only in stressfull times it's there a littttle bit, but I don't care. I know what to do.. calm my system. I know it will go away again. The thing that helped me the most was changing my relation with tinnitus on deeper levels. So I changed the way I thought about it, I stopped talking about it in the beginning, I stopped doing my best to ignore it because thats a negative emotion too.. I just said to myself: it's ok that this is here for the time being, but I go on with whatever I'm doing. And the second thing that helped me the most was calming my whole system. Recognizing that I was stressed even when I didn't felt it that way. Now when I look back I think: wow I was really stressed. Because my baseline changed. So changing your relationship with tinnitus and calming your nervoussystem.. that will help you!

I’m hoping to further improve over time. I had lowered it and habituated in 2016 (still needed background noise but it didn’t bother me much) and that’s where I hope to be again. Hearing you speak these words, knowing you have first hand experience, is a source of extreme support and comfort during this incredibly difficult time. What I'm trying say is that if your new to tinnitus please give it time. Julian is absolutely right in the fact that tinnitus goes away. I still have my tinnitus but it doesn't bother me at all. Your brain is extremely powerful and learns to adapt. Please give it time. You wouldn't sit there and listen to your heartbeat all day, so why would you listen to your tinnitus.

James B Interesting that you mention suicidal thoughts! My health collapsed in the last two years along with my life. The stress and anxiety lately has been horrendous and along with Eustachian tube dis function my left ear has been an absolute nightmare. My GP told me to grin and bear it, it may or may not pass! I have an autoimmune disease which is being treated with a biologic drug which more or less ruins your immune system while it works but exacerbated any small illness ie a cold into a long and painful experience. But it’s always kinda reassuring to know I’m not the only one with these thoughts, rant over

Hi Julian. I started watching your videos a few years ago when I had tinnitus. I was in a terrible headspace & the tinnitus made my anxiety ramp up, whilst the anxiety made the tinnitus ramp up. It was a racket in my head for a long time. I gradually made changes to quieten my nervous system & the tinnitus went from screaming in my ears to complete silence over a period of months. Now with the anxiety of a long distance relationship and this pandemic, it has started ramping up again. But I feel calmer this time because I have tools to help me. The only thing which is unfortunate is physical distancing because touch therapies were very important for my recovery last time. Thank you for all your great advice and help. To other tinnitus sufferers, please don't give up hope. If you follow Julian's advice in a calm and measured way, you will get better in time.

It sounds like my nervous system sparks intermittently. I went through all the stages. I was very scared and was going through the fight or flight stage, anxiety, then depression and lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks it was difficult to sleep. I was also going through a lot of personal difficulties in my family life which made matters worse. I felt all alone. Your videos did help me and things are looking better. I'm gonna be going to tinnitus retraining therapy soon. But I want to thank you for helping people with this terrible affliction.

I think it really depends on the reason of the tinnitus, mine was due to ear wax impaction, thus once the wax was removed the ringing subsided during the following weeks until it was barely audible in a quiet semi soundproof room. Then there are people who just get it due to stress, disrupting the balance of the nervous system making the brain overcompensate for the hearing loss making the tinnitus more audible. Yet it still goes away when stress levels go back the normal.

I know it's due to stress because it was initially originated in the left ear and then I started hearing it in the right. If I pay attention to it, it changes from one ear to the other. A month ago I didn't have anything like this, everything started with ear wax impaction and high levels of anxiety due to it. I have faith and hope that it will go away.

My tinnitus is still here, after about 4 months now, which I've been told and read online, that 4 months isn't long at all, and could still take another 6-8 more months to see it go away. I've been to, 2 doctors, 1 ENT and had an MRI. Everything has been checked, my MRI came back negative, my ears are normal, my hearing is normal, (from the tests I took) Personally I feel like it has somewhat gotten better, not as loud, its still a good 2/10- 3/10 in a silent room, and if my ears are covered. I'll of course hear it. But other than that, I cant hear it else. I do have mild, and I mean mild hyperacusis, my ears have a tiny whistle to them when a fan is on, or anything that blows air fast. But any other sound I'm completely normal. But I had the hyperacusis, for about 3 months now, but its so mild, its not bad at all. I've read and been told, that I still have to wait months. But I've for what I've done to manage, I've done nothing really, im living a normal life still, I still game, I still use my headsets, but of course at a lower volume, around 30% I still go out and drink with friends. (Not as much, due to COVID) I still eat whatever I want and do whatever, I have stopped using ear buds though, I use Astro a40s for my headset, so it goes over my ear, but again I use 30% volume for gaming. I've had no sort of spike, from gaming, or the MRI, or any foods, or liquor, I dont smoke weed or cigarettes, so idk if that might trigger it, but I won't find out lol. Of course I still have days where I hate it, it is annoying, but its only been 4 months for me. Again, it can take upwards of 6-12 months for it to completely go away.

Hope this rambling help. You are not alone.

Finally an explanation. It is a mental thing. If I try to hear it that’s when I mess my self up. But if I keep my mind focused and busy then I forget about it. The only thing that sucks is when I wake up in the middle of the night I can hear it. I’m thinking of putting a small fountain so I can hear the water.

I literally self induced my own tinnitus a few days ago. I knew intuitively that I myself has caused this. I have had of course hear the ringing before but no emotional reaction thought nothing of it so it went into the background naturally. But this time I had an over action in which I can see it created with my attention. Interesting. This video is the most helpful and gives me a confidence that everything is fine. I can begin to let this pass. It’s like my mind had to push the limits just for understanding sake. I’ll subscribe to your channel so I can get the correct view on this. Reading all this garage info online didn’t help a bit and made it unnecessarily worse.

I just wanna say that I 've had tinnitus for 3 years now and it has been really bad sometimes. So one day I went to a doctor for my neck pain and I asked him about the tinnitus and he said"You need calm down, don't worry about it.Its part of your nerves system".I took some pills to keep me calm, nothing too serious just some herbs, and now my tinnitus is little to none..And it's not because of the pills, but because I didn't care anymore.Thats the whole point. You just gotta don't give fuck .I know it's hard, but that's the way to go,ofcorse if the source is your nerves system which in most people is. Good luck......!

Hi there! Have you been to a specialist? If your ear fullness and the tinnitus just started 5 days ago, having a round of cortisone can help. I went a week later and it was too late for the tinnitus but still saved my hearing (i suffered what it is called a threshold shift). I wish someone would have told me I need to go asap to a specialist and start cortisone, because maybe then I wouldn't have the tinnitus either.

I had tinnitus 11 years ago after a car accident. It was a pretty bad time and took me about 8 months for my brain to habituate the sound. I had not noticed it over the past 10 years but after getting Covid a few months back I developed a new high pitched sound. I am now back to habituation again and only a few months in but using the same techniques again, neuro modulation, meditation and sound therapy. I know it will get better but will take time.

It's true, it does get better and we really need to remind ourselves that. I've had tinnitus previously in my mid to late teens. Luckily back then it wasn't excruciating but it was always there. I found things like having my fan on near me or falling asleep to effective ASMR videos helped tremendously and eventually it just went away. If I sat in my room completely silent sometimes I could notice it a little but it was never to the point of causing anxiety and the smallest sound could easily distract me from it if my tinnitus were there. But it really had come to a point when I entirely forgot I even had it. Recently I went to a concert and it was insanely loud so now I have the most mindnumbing ringing pitch in my right ear. I've been to multiple doctors, I even went to the ER because I haven't been able to sleep in over a week now. It's to the point where most of my old tricks no longer work but instead agitate it further. However, there are moments where I've found sweet spots and listening to certain soothing things in certain soothing positions that can both distract me and not agitate the tinnitus further. I've been stuck in a loop where I'm very anxious because of the tinnitus and the tinnitus flares because I'm anxious. These types of videos are what we really need to hear because it does feel like it's slowly getting better again but it's easy to fall back into the rabbit hole of the despair of thinking this is forever.

To All. I had Tinnitus for 1 year between 2016 and 2017. I was free for one year than I went to a concert and started off again in June 2018. I am fighting with it again. But guess what, during Xmas holiday I was really off work and had great sleep, like, wow, and this was just after a week where I had a massive spike due to a short session with a Trumpet. I came back to work, and now it has spinned out again. so stress, stress, stress.that's the key factor. and yes - you can get rid of it. If I knew I would have not ever entered that Pub. but now I am still positively determined to get rid of it again... yes even after 18 months.

Truly appreciate your videos and your positive words. I honestly believe tinnitus can be cured because tinnitus is not a illness it's self. Tinnitus is a symptom of a bigger issue. Certain factors just trigger it. It is shown in studies that when your doctor tells you that there is no hope for something you're going through that it will send you through a negative spiral and can be bad for your mental state while going through the issue you are dealing with. I'm tired of doctors filling our minds with negativity, there's one thing with simply not understanding in depth but even so if a doctor isn't fully aware of everything about a certain issue they can't say that there's no cure.

Glad it gave you hope. Hopefully you can gain understanding on how tinnitus works which helps you on your way to recovery. The ringing is caused by activation in the central nervous system, which can settle with help and practice. Please download my app and learn from the information there and start practising easy relaxing yoga and have regular hands-on bodywork to help relax your system. www.quietenapp.com Distracting the mind away from the ringing and calming and bring your system out of fight or flight can help a lot.
