Some added info to go with the video. Generally speaking a house up to 3000sq ft I can shoot one of these with the Realtor in 1.5hrs, normally less. Confidence on camera is key for this and I only work with limited clients (KZread is my main job) Edit time is approximately 3-4hrs and normally I have alot more titles, motion graphics with tracking etc in the video. Pricing starts at $750+ USD for a video like this and its delivered within 48 hrs. That price is fully dependant on your market.

She's a natural in front of the camera! That's a big plus for an agent.
Dude this was so good. First off, the actual final video I forgot I was on KZread haha. Felt legit like a TLC “House Hunters” episode but with a better realtor 😎😂 Awesome work and yo! Kudos to directing, remembering tales, AND filming your own bts all at once. Awesome work man.

ahhh you're too kind Justin. That means alot!! I genuinely enjoy making this style of video, it feels so natural to me to make. I'm sure very much like how when your shooting a BTS video. Hope I can get more of these made soon. Appreciate you!
I really appreciate you sharing the process. For a beginner like me, it's very inspiring, and wanting me to try some of them myself.
I love this! Showing so many aspects and realness of the process! ❤
The camera work was great but she absolutely slayed the walkthrough
wow great filming, editting and hosting. loving it! thanks for the tips!
Thank you so much, Chris. I want to get into this!
I love how she correct your when you pronounced “garage” 😂 my wife corrects me all the time lol
Great stuff. I subscribed. I’m using all these techniques!!
The best tutorial I've come across on this topic. Super good team. Thank you for sharing....
Really great to see your process on location. This is a excellent video. Would watch more if you share.
Wow wow wow!! I really loved this video (I'll probably watch it a few more times) I love how you show your work process. very very valuable and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge so freely. I am trying to figure out what I want to do. I started out filming live bands in bars in NYC, with a Canon Handycam. I am about to upgrade my gear and open up my service for other projects like filming real estate, weddings, or other things, as I said I'm still figuring out what I want to do and have to try it out first. Keep up the good work. Respect to your wife Carie and respect to you Chris. Peace!!
Excellent Chris, I know nothing about realestate and certainly would like to have try, thanks for such a excellent video.

Excellent video, I recently bought the Fulaim X5 wireless kit. Absolutely great for these realtor walk through videos. Just set the levels, hand it to the realtor to either clip it or use the magnet. No need to ever assist them running the risk of "getting handsy". Btw, this was HGTV quality and actually better in a lot of cases. I've seen some not so well shot episodes. You and your wife should have your own show, you 2 are that good! Finally, I shoot in 4K 30fps slowing it down to 24fps and its buttery smooth.
This was great. Would you be able to share a video of the actual finished video only?
Great Video. What camera settings do you use? Especially for varied exposure settings i.e. when sun and cloud come in and out and change the exposure of the room?
Loved this learned so much! I do have one question, what kind of weight Is that on the front of the gimbles camera plate?

great video and very useful info, when you say you use autofocus do you mean you tap to focus or you are using CAF?
'Let's just get you back in the kitchen again' hehe!
Chris, great video (as always). Quick question: At 18:14 you talk about shooting for interiors and fixing the "little over exposed" windows in post in "SL3"? (Least that's what it sounds like you say). Can you explain that a little deeper? I shoot with a Sony A7iii and my biggest failure is having windows "blown out" when the interior is exposed properly. Love to learn some tips! Thanks.
You keep producing quality and relevant information, a lot of good details, I should be paying you for this stuff =\ for now I’ll give a thumbs up on any platform you are on.

So fun to see you and your wife working together. She is great in front of and behind the camera. Really enjoyed seeing what goes into making this type of video. Do you do any additional stabilizing in post, or is the gimbal and your ninja smoothness sufficient?
@chrisbrockhurst
Жыл бұрын
thankyou! shell appreciate that comment alot. All the movement your seeing is straight from camera, no additional stabilization.
Amazing video! A question for you on how you would edit this for social media clips. Would it be best to shoot videos in open gate (anamorphic) 4:3 to get a bit more height than the 16:9? Or what's your opinion on getting clips out of this video you shot here for 9:16 reels?
Hey Chris, excellent fun tutorial for those wanted to know how to shoot real estate. I don't do them but found this interesting nonetheless. Love to see a follow up post workflow. Also, curious that you never seem to start/stop the camera. Finally, do you have a gimbal setup? Thanks and keep up the good work.
@chrisbrockhurst
Жыл бұрын
Appreciate you watching. Yeh I often run with it as one take, in the edit it’s easy to just skim through and see where I’m at in the house. Just my method of doing it. Gimbal setup is pretty simple, just RS3 with Dual Grip handles
Hi Chris, great video. I do have a question as I watched through your video, if I try to avoid memorizing scripts as I move around the house showing the tour, is it a valid or feasible solution to somehow mount the telepromopter onto gimbal? Are there any challenge to do so? and do you have combination and gimbal and teleprompter to recommend that work really good together? Thanks heaps Chris!

ISO performance with Sony cameras is the key for low light
All good 👍 I could suggest to shoot a host separately, different lenses periodically. Not the wide lense only.

What I forgot to add. Do you consider filming with a double gripp is way better/easier then just holding the gimbal or why are you using one? Many Thanks
@chrisbrockhurst
Жыл бұрын
Thankyou! I have a couple of vids coming that will explain all those things actually. Generally speaking im always in manual, full control is my preference
Chris, I absolutely loved your videography tutorial, I was wowed! A couple of things, my friend. I assume that your wife for this video shoot was a hired actress, and if so, was the client charged more? I am in the Genesis of real estate photography 📸 and because of that I desire to offer my clientele packages that may include stills, and aerial shots in additional to interior video; how do you schedule your day in a way that you're not overwhelmed with appointments? 😊 For example: since no 2 days are exactly alike, how do you limit your workload without overdoing it? Thanks for your effort and time in covering this subject.
I have learned so much from this about working with a gimbal. Thank you! I didn't think I can simulate slider movements with a gimbal and I probably can't yet at this point. Your footwork blew me away! How much of a difference does the double grip make on the gimbal?
@chrisbrockhurst
Жыл бұрын
ahhh this is amazing to hear, thankyou for sharing. The Dual grip makes me feel like i can grip the Gimbel in a way that just feels smoother to hold. A wider grip helps more than you realise. You dont necessarily need this exact one but something similar will help you!

@@chrisbrockhurst thank you for answering! I have a Weebill S. I am sure I can find something for it as it was quite popular when it came out. Or perhaps I can find something generic. I am just a bit sceptical about attaching something to the singular 1/4 thread on the bottom.
Are you keeping your camera recording at all times? Or just small clips at a time?
This video is awesome - and the beginning real estate video is really well done as well. My question is - do you get a lot of these requests? its been my experience with a lot of realtors in my area (and the houses I have shot for them - ranging anywhere from 200k-1m USD) these houses are selling themselves and FAST - by the time I even give them photos back (sometimes within the same day) they have offers on the house - so when I offer to make a video - they are like - Why?? By the time I even post the video and try to show it - the house is sold! Is this just the market I'm in ...or around? For example in 2021 I sold my own home for over-market (and asking price) value in less then 48 hours with over 20 in person showings in that weekend and I didn't think we would get what we were asking - I was shocked....I also don't see many other real estate videographers in this area (PHILLY surrounding areas) doing these either. Or maybe Im going about it all wrong? should I be looking for 1m-5m homes???
Such great information, thanks so much. Can I ask though, why can't the master be a master in Canada? Why does it have to be called a "primary"?
I’m looking at starting to create real estate walkthroughs and this video is incredibly helpful. I was intending to get the Nikon 14-13mm f4 lens. You say that you shoot with f1.8 at 14mm. Do you think f4 would be ok or do I really need the wider aperture?

This is amazing! What gimbal settings are you using? Are you always shooting the widest focal length on your lens?
@chrisbrockhurst
Жыл бұрын
Always slow and smooth with the deadband set so you have to move it a decent amount before it picks up movement (you can set this on the gimbal or in the ronin app)
do you shoot this in raw video? and then color grade it? or just strait out of camera?
What gimbal is that?! I have the Ronin SC but I am not a fan, I like yours!
Hey Chris how do you think about starting with a 24mm lens for this type of videos? is it wide enough? Loved this type videos. Keep 'em coming!
@chrisbrockhurst
Жыл бұрын
24mm will be a bit tight for smaller spaces. 16mm is best!
Do you shoot this in slog 3? Auto white balance?
Do you use warp on premiere or catalyst ?
Do you recommend using the steady shoot (ibis), when the camera is mounted on a gimbal? In my case, I have sometimes noticed a bit of woobling when I use the a7siii and 16-352.8. How was your experience?
@chrisbrockhurst
Жыл бұрын
Nope! Always turn that off, the camera can get tricked and ruin your shots
I may have missed this but what lens do you use?
