Imagine you are either Egon, Ray, Winston, or Janine and in an alternate continuity where Peck is slightly less of an idiot. You get to work one day to find you are out of a job because Venkman needlessly antagonized the EPA guy who got a court order and forced the business to shut down.

The only thing work than Venkman is the editing in how these shots are slapped together, out of order, the choppiest transitions I've seen in a hot minute.

He gets better after the first movie, but MAN is a POS in that movie. The scene in the credits of Afterlife where Dana is electroshocking him was therapeutic :P

Bill Murray is the best at being a lovable asshole. He's pretty much the same dude in every movie.

I guess you missed his date where he brought along Anti-psychotic medication. Real knee slapping time then. And yet no hate for that? Back in the eighties all of the US, especially Hollywood was on cocaine, after the LSD “experimentation” in the sixties. It actually started in the seventies, but I’m surprised no one’s commented on a gangster movie called Bugsy Malone. That’s got Awkwardness written all through it. Scott Baio and Jodie Foster! You might not be allowed to feature the song Talulah, as Jodie is still a darling of Hollywood.
