THIS STORY:
On a dark cold evening in 1979, a young mother was home alone with her children in northern Wisconsin. They didn't know it, but they were being stalked from outside.
Sadly, 20 year old Candace Warning and her two daughters; Angela and Elizabeth, were then brutally knifed and shot to death by the intruder, who was a high schooler named Timothy Sipple, aka. "Campbell".
It was a night time thrill kill for him.
THIS CHANNEL:
_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Oh my! This was even crazier than Ron said. Apparently, from the newspaper article, the killer was lurking in the yard of the Sister-in-Law of the woman and kids he'd just killed, covered in blood, and the S-i-L saw him. She called for him to come in to the house, afraid he was hurt in the woods. He told her he was attacked by a wolverine, so she sat him down and gave him a glass of milk to drink! Life is sure stranger than fiction could ever be.

I don't think it will ever happen that lawmakers and people in the judicial system will ever respect life. Life for murder. No deals. When they sentence some murderer to twenty five years they also sentence the family members as well because they have to show up at the parole board every time they are up for parole . Disgusting.

Such a heartbreaking story! Ron, thank you for remembering Candy and her children with such kindness and respect. My deepest sympathies go out to her husband and other family members. Since the guilty party was so young it likely was all kept out of the news, which may mean he was addressed as a minor. Hopefully he is still paying for those horrible, senseless deeds he committed. Thank you for keeping Candy and her children’s memories with such love. The rose was perfect. God bless. May Candy and her sweet daughters rest in peace.

Wolverines are considered extirpated from Wisconsin. Wolverine populations are currently known in the North Cascades Range in Washington; the Northern Rockies of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming; and a small portion of Oregon (Wallowa Range). The wolverine also resides in Alaska, Canada, and Russia. The wolverine ranges widely, up to 15 miles a day, and needs lots of habitat. Caribou & wolverines are boreal animals that used to live in far northeastern Minnesota until the early 1900s. They are considered extirpated (no longer living) in the state, but can be found in Canada. Lynx and mountain lions are rare in Minnesota. I know TMI.

The woman he told this to (who turned out to be Candy's sister-in-law) likely didn't know about wolverines. She probably thought he meant a wolf. I wonder why he chose wolverine out of all the animals he could choose from. There are plenty of black bears in northern Wisconsin and badgers can be pretty mean. We'll never know.

So sad. Reminds me of the murder of Terry Lee Chasten, another young mother, and her three young children. She was just a year older than Candy. Steven Judy was convicted of this horrific crime and died in the electric chair in Michigan City, Indiana in March 1980. These murders happened in Mooresville, near Indianapolis, Indiana, coincidentally one day earlier than these Wisconsin murders. I was in high school at the time and remember that the entire region was in an outrage at the depravity of the killings. Terry Lee Chasten and her children are buried in the Brownsburg Cemetery, Brownsburg, Indiana. If you're ever out that way, it would be great to do a feature on them.

I totally agree with you on the short time we all have here on earth. Put a smile on someone’s face today. You will be surprised how long that person holds on to that memory, that you created. Thanks Ron.

Poor little Angels and their mom. Feeling so bad for Bob as well. I just saw your instagram post that the monster is up for Parole next year and I seriously question why he even has that chance. I hopw he will never get out.
