John Ogelton - The problem isn't that she's Christian. The problem is if her faith interjects into her Supreme Court Decisions. I want decisions made according to the constitution, legal precedent, and the rule of law. I don't want a nation ruled by Christian Law, same as I don't want it under Muslim Law.

To overturn RvW completely, SCOTUS would have to specifically address the biological definition of a human life and how it becomes priority before a mother's privacy and government intervention.

Regardless who the nominee is, it is of paramount importance that it REALLY be a Constitutionalist through and through. We can't allow another SCJ to bring their personal political bias into the Supreme Court process as did Justice Ginsberg who has done so since her appointment to the Supreme Court.

I wish Democrats would learn what "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." means when it comes to these Supreme Court /Federal Court judge confirmation hearings. They seem to have stricken that from their memory of what's in the Constitution.

One could argue that the lack of faith weighs on thoughts and decisions.

If she were nominated, Senator Feinstein and co would set their dogs on her. I think that prospect could be a powerful deterrent, as women tend to be more protective about their private lives, especially when they have children.

I like her. She seems calm, phlegmatic. I'll have to do more research into her but her religion is irrelevant to me. The only thing that matters, and the only thing that should matter is whether she abides by the constitution. Whether she believes a judge is suppose to base ruling on precedent and not feel they are legislators. We already have a branch of government for that it's called the Congressional branch. As long as she follows the constitution I'm okay with it. Kamala Harris wants a judge that rules based on their feelings. According to her Twitter feed anyways

Interesting observation that the most profound cases yet to reach the Court may not focus on abortion per se, but what constitutes a "person" and would therefore be guaranteed Constitutional protections; this is something that none of the pro-choice or anti-Catholic Senators seem to be prepared to ask, but it would be to the benefit of the public if they would do so.
