    I loved this, thanks for making realistic content. It gets frustrating when every other creator's video starts out with a $1,500 sponsored desk, $300 sponsored desk accessories, $500 sponsored speakers, etc. I know the goal is to get there and I'm happy for them, but it's more rare to find realistic content like this now. Super resourceful!

    I have 2 sit stand desks and they’re great, but not absolutely necessary. You can do a lot with a regular desk still. Tbh most probably people don’t make use of the standing/adjustment features “enough” but when you need it, it’s really nice to have

    Ikea chairs caster usually comes with auto lock caster, when there is no added weight to the wheels it will lock itself preventing the chair to move around. there are workaround it, if you want to disable the lock mechanism. also if you want to cable manage without being permanent you could buy a cable management tray with a clamp instead since you wont need to screw and have the option to move it around

  • @ShaqHossain

    @ShaqHossain

    Жыл бұрын

    Oh damn dude I had no idea they were auto locking. That sounds good as a concept but practically I find it's a little annoying since I'm not always seated when I need to move the chair. For the cable management thing good to know that there's clamp alternatives now, I'll take a look at them sometime soon. and when I said "I'll probably end up changing up the desk" I ended up moving my gaming PC over onto it like 4 days later LOL

    The lighting had me very curious about something. I really love the lighting and I've seen many people on the internet saying that lighting plays a huge difference in making a space more cozy or interesting. So sometimes I really want to create a lighting setup for my house, but my main question is: do you guys keep things on during the day? Is it something that will only look cool at night?

    29 inch is good depth size for work desk as compared to my work desk with 31 inch depth. But i can’t complain much because with this 31 inch depth work desk, it justify good eye distance from sitting position to the 38 inch monitor.

    It seems like you haven’t seen my old desk setup yet that has grovemade 🙄 LOL all jokes aside, Grovemade is pretty pricey but the products are pretty solid. They held the monopoly in the space of office accessories for a while now, but in the past few months I’ve seen more and more brands offering similar products at a slightly cheaper price point. Grovemade still reigns supreme over offering the FULL package of accessories that tie together 😮‍💨

    But for real Ikea's pick up service is the best. You can shop at home and just go pick it up without getting stuck in their showroom. Also, funny I actually have the same legs, but went with a wood top because I had the white one, but the one I had ended up scuffed with the particle board showing after some time. Anyway love this I have a similar set up myself for my bedroom.

    what might cause the wobble? to some people that seems like a deal breaker

  • @ShaqHossain

    @ShaqHossain

    Жыл бұрын

    If I had to guess it’s the position of the legs (bringing them in a bit closer might help) or its a mix of the lack of a support beam (probably the best way to fix the wobble) that runs across from each pair of legs on each side and the fact that the legs are relatively thin & taper off at the bottom. If each of the legs were rectangular and around idk 3x3 inches all the way through and 4x4 at the point where it connects to the table, it might be a bit more stable. I don’t make furniture so this is just me going off my intuition based on the furniture I’ve seen in the past
