Every time he said that, it made me think he had messed up, but was trying to play it cool. In reality, if I’m going in to get my hair cut (which I don’t because I cut my own), I want the barber to make it as perfect as he can...and even vocally say “it’s perfect.” That gives me confidence in his work and I won’t find myself questioning if my hair actually looks like crap or not.

Any barber that repeats "it doesn't have to be perfect", is a barber you should avoid. The fade lines have to be symmetrical otherwise the fade won't be even, he didn't even do real scissor-work on the top, just ran a comb through it like he didn't care. There's a few Barbers on here that are really good (Jake the barber, the barber from Texas)

I wondered why he didn't at least take the bulk out of the beard but keep the length. I for one never put another barber or colorist out or down. However when he started out in the back it was done where he could have been more even. Even when blending in he takes or would take more time to take away areas he overlooked... But from a distance it looks good.

@@trentlong1796 agree 100% about not putting barbers/hair stylists down i just disagree with some of the steps certain barbers take. Although there are so many different ways to cut hair i dont agree with using guards on top if the hair is longer than exanple a #3 guard. I find Beardbrand barbers talk alot of nonsense during the haircut to sound smart talking about how they will cut the hair but take short cuts. And the banter (talk) is not good communication skills with your customers not professional. Just my opinion

MILKWEED I hear you, I looked at there Instagram page some decent Cuts, beards, Stache looks. But yes unless your doing a proper Tutorial the talking kinda takes away from what most people look At and see in the cut. I often mute them to see the begin and end Results. Then go back and see it or watch the technique they use. I mean as barbers we always need to educate ourselves and even Upkeep those skills. There is that British guy on this page he has Great sheer cutting and fast precise skills..

Not a fade on the left side AT ALL. It’s a complete disconnect as a matter of fact. Everything about this video says “lazy barber” and no attention to detail.

All I'm getting from these videos is that to be a barber it's a requirement to have at least 1 sleeve tattoo 😂

Does anyone know a good spot in north jersey? I’m growing it out, but I don’t want to go to the local places because they all want to trim low and tight
