He continually says incorrect things about the scriptures, and is yet to debate any good Christian debaters. As the verses I mentioned earlier Jesus states he is the “I Am” before Abraham as mentioned in exodus 3:14. I also point out how the Trinity is evident as it says the Angel of God is in the bush then says it is God… this is just one example how the Trinity and Jesus divinity are seen through the scriptures if you want just verses of Jesus claiming to be God then look no further than stuff like John 10:30 “I and my Father are one”, Mark 14:62 “And Jesus said, “I am; and you shall see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.”, and others if you would like me to tell you some more. After each of these statements Jesus said the people he was talking to blamed him of blasphemy and wanted to kill him… they knew the clear meaning of Jesus statements, they are not hidden. Also if no other Christian scholar has showed you the connection I made between exodus 3 and John 8 then maybe I have given you just another reason to believe in the divinity of Christ and follow the truth. As to your questions: 1. “How can you philosophically reconcile the trinity with monotheism?” In the chapter on the Trinity referenced above, I provide a model of the Trinity that enables us to do just that. In a nutshell the model is that God is a soul equipped with three sets of rational faculties, each sufficient for personhood. This model yields both monotheism (there is one soul that is God) and a plurality of persons (that soul has three centers of self-consciousness). Yes, each person in the Trinity is maximally perfect. “However, does not the New Testament portray the other persons of the trinity as subordinates, at least in some respects, to the Father?” Here theologians have helpfully distinguished between the ontological Trinity and the economic Trinity. In my model the members of the Trinity considered ontologically (in abstraction from their relations to the world) are equally and maximally perfect. But in the divine economy, for the sake of our salvation the members of the Trinity assume different roles in the plan of salvation. The Father sends the Son into the world; the Son assumes a human nature and dies a sacrificial death; the Spirit comes in the name of the Son to continue his work until his return. The Son’s voluntary submission to the Father no more implies his inferiority to the Father than my wife’s submission to me in the economy of the family implies her inferiority to me. It is true that many Christians think that there are relations of subordination, not only in the economic Trinity, but also in the ontological Trinity. But biblical scholars agree that this view is not taught in the New Testament, which was the concern of your question. And even those Christians would insist that subordination does not imply inferiority or imperfection. As for your example, I agree that Christ, as the second person of the Trinity, knew the date of his second coming. But as I explain in my chapter on the Incarnation in Philosophical Foundations, not everything known by Christ in his incarnate state was consciously known to him. Most of it was subconscious. So in his human nature he did not know the date of his return; that is to say, it was not part of his conscious knowledge nor available to him. 2. “Are the arguments for the trinity philosophical (like the ones for the existence of One God) or based on Scripture?” The doctrine of the Trinity is derived from the teachings of Jesus and from Scripture. I do think a plausible philosophical argument can be offered against a unitarian concept of God such as we find in Islam. As I argue in Philosophical Foundations, God, as the greatest conceivable being, must be perfect. Now a perfect being must be a loving being. For love is a moral perfection; it is better for a person to be loving rather than unloving. God therefore must be a perfectly loving being. Now it is of the very nature of love to give oneself away. Love reaches out to another person rather than centering wholly in oneself. So if God is perfectly loving by His very nature, He must be giving Himself in love to another. But who is that other? It cannot be any created person, since creation is a result of God’s free will, not a result of His nature. It belongs to God's very essence to love, but it does not belong to His essence to create. So we can imagine a possible world in which God is perfectly loving and yet no created persons exist. So created persons cannot sufficiently explain whom God loves. . . . It therefore follows that the other to whom God’s love is necessarily directed must be internal to God Himself. In other words, God is not a single, isolated person, as unitarian forms of theism like Islam hold; rather God is a plurality of persons, as the Christian doctrine of the Trinity affirms. On the unitarian view God is a person who does not give Himself away essentially in love for another; He is focused essentially only on Himself. Hence, He cannot be the most perfect being. But on the Christian view, God is a triad of persons in eternal, self-giving love relationships. Thus, since God is essentially loving, the doctrine of the Trinity is more plausible than any unitarian doctrine of God. As you observe, this argument will not give us exactly three persons-but hey, who’s complaining? It’s enough to make the Christian concept of God more plausible than the Islamic conception. 3. “If based on Scripture, would that not necessitate believing Scripture is infallible (why trust it when it comes to the trinity, but not trust it on other issues)?” My answer above would require us to think that Jesus is a reliable and authoritative teacher about God, his Heavenly Father, and that Scripture is also reliable and authoritative when it comes to theological doctrine. You ask, “How can you reconcile the infallibility of Scripture, with various errors within Scripture, like numerical contradictions, or scientific mistakes?” This is the same question that the Muslim faces with respect to the mistakes and contradictions within the Qur’an. One might try to resolve the contradictions and show that the mistakes are only apparent. But in my opinion no such heroics are needed. First, even treating the documents of the New Testament as fallible sources, one is able to make a plausible case for Jesus’ resurrection in vindication of his radical personal claims, for which he was sentenced to death by the Jewish Sanhedrin. That shows that Jesus was who he claimed to be, the unique Son of God and Son of Man, and that we can therefore trust him when it comes to our doctrine of God. Second, when it comes to the inspiration and infallibility of Scripture, we need to learn humbly from Scripture itself what is entailed by divine inspiration. The Bible is not intended to be a science book, and ancient biography did not aim to achieve the accuracy of a police report. Many of the authors of Scripture may have believed geocentrism, for example, but they did not teach geocentrism. The authors of the Gospels would have been surprised to learn from moderns that their editorial activity in retelling the life of Jesus in different ways would count as errors on their part. We may trust the authors of Scripture to deliver to us correct doctrine about God without demanding or expecting from them information on science or modern historical accounts.

But i have to say to my muslims friends about something.You see one of the characteristics of God is that he can know a men's Heart.In 1st Kings chapter 8 it says that Jesus knew what the man was thinking. Another thing in the bible that God is the only one that forgives everything.Jesus also fogives everyone example there are many senarios in the bible that jesus forgave for exp a tax collector, a prostitute and also Judas. Lastly,jesus is God because he resurrected to show that only he can defeat death.

In verse 13 of John 16, the Lord Jesus mentioned Spirit who is to come and to guide us into all the truth and this Spirit will be with His believers always, hence, Mohammed is not the one implied by Christ.

As to your questions: 1. “How can you philosophically reconcile the trinity with monotheism?” In the chapter on the Trinity referenced above, I provide a model of the Trinity that enables us to do just that. In a nutshell the model is that God is a soul equipped with three sets of rational faculties, each sufficient for personhood. This model yields both monotheism (there is one soul that is God) and a plurality of persons (that soul has three centers of self-consciousness). Yes, each person in the Trinity is maximally perfect. “However, does not the New Testament portray the other persons of the trinity as subordinates, at least in some respects, to the Father?” Here theologians have helpfully distinguished between the ontological Trinity and the economic Trinity. In my model the members of the Trinity considered ontologically (in abstraction from their relations to the world) are equally and maximally perfect. But in the divine economy, for the sake of our salvation the members of the Trinity assume different roles in the plan of salvation. The Father sends the Son into the world; the Son assumes a human nature and dies a sacrificial death; the Spirit comes in the name of the Son to continue his work until his return. The Son’s voluntary submission to the Father no more implies his inferiority to the Father than my wife’s submission to me in the economy of the family implies her inferiority to me. It is true that many Christians think that there are relations of subordination, not only in the economic Trinity, but also in the ontological Trinity. But biblical scholars agree that this view is not taught in the New Testament, which was the concern of your question. And even those Christians would insist that subordination does not imply inferiority or imperfection. As for your example, I agree that Christ, as the second person of the Trinity, knew the date of his second coming. But as I explain in my chapter on the Incarnation in Philosophical Foundations, not everything known by Christ in his incarnate state was consciously known to him. Most of it was subconscious. So in his human nature he did not know the date of his return; that is to say, it was not part of his conscious knowledge nor available to him. 2. “Are the arguments for the trinity philosophical (like the ones for the existence of One God) or based on Scripture?” The doctrine of the Trinity is derived from the teachings of Jesus and from Scripture. I do think a plausible philosophical argument can be offered against a unitarian concept of God such as we find in Islam. As I argue in Philosophical Foundations, God, as the greatest conceivable being, must be perfect. Now a perfect being must be a loving being. For love is a moral perfection; it is better for a person to be loving rather than unloving. God therefore must be a perfectly loving being. Now it is of the very nature of love to give oneself away. Love reaches out to another person rather than centering wholly in oneself. So if God is perfectly loving by His very nature, He must be giving Himself in love to another. But who is that other? It cannot be any created person, since creation is a result of God’s free will, not a result of His nature. It belongs to God's very essence to love, but it does not belong to His essence to create. So we can imagine a possible world in which God is perfectly loving and yet no created persons exist. So created persons cannot sufficiently explain whom God loves. . . . It therefore follows that the other to whom God’s love is necessarily directed must be internal to God Himself. In other words, God is not a single, isolated person, as unitarian forms of theism like Islam hold; rather God is a plurality of persons, as the Christian doctrine of the Trinity affirms. On the unitarian view God is a person who does not give Himself away essentially in love for another; He is focused essentially only on Himself. Hence, He cannot be the most perfect being. But on the Christian view, God is a triad of persons in eternal, self-giving love relationships. Thus, since God is essentially loving, the doctrine of the Trinity is more plausible than any unitarian doctrine of God. As you observe, this argument will not give us exactly three persons-but hey, who’s complaining? It’s enough to make the Christian concept of God more plausible than the Islamic conception. 3. “If based on Scripture, would that not necessitate believing Scripture is infallible (why trust it when it comes to the trinity, but not trust it on other issues)?” My answer above would require us to think that Jesus is a reliable and authoritative teacher about God, his Heavenly Father, and that Scripture is also reliable and authoritative when it comes to theological doctrine. You ask, “How can you reconcile the infallibility of Scripture, with various errors within Scripture, like numerical contradictions, or scientific mistakes?” This is the same question that the Muslim faces with respect to the mistakes and contradictions within the Qur’an. One might try to resolve the contradictions and show that the mistakes are only apparent. But in my opinion no such heroics are needed. First, even treating the documents of the New Testament as fallible sources, one is able to make a plausible case for Jesus’ resurrection in vindication of his radical personal claims, for which he was sentenced to death by the Jewish Sanhedrin. That shows that Jesus was who he claimed to be, the unique Son of God and Son of Man, and that we can therefore trust him when it comes to our doctrine of God. Second, when it comes to the inspiration and infallibility of Scripture, we need to learn humbly from Scripture itself what is entailed by divine inspiration. The Bible is not intended to be a science book, and ancient biography did not aim to achieve the accuracy of a police report. Many of the authors of Scripture may have believed geocentrism, for example, but they did not teach geocentrism. The authors of the Gospels would have been surprised to learn from moderns that their editorial activity in retelling the life of Jesus in different ways would count as errors on their part. We may trust the authors of Scripture to deliver to us correct doctrine about God without demanding or expecting from them information on science or modern historical accounts.

I don't doubt that Dr Naik is a brilliant man. But his job is to convince one that Islam is the true religion. He would do it in any way possible. Here's the thing though, if you do make a connection between the Gospels and Jesus's divinity, Muslim apologetics would say the Bible is altered, corrupted and it's not the word of God. No win for you in any way.

Idk: What Dr Zakir Naik means, Jesus literally said "I am God and worship me" If Jesus truly God, in Bible should not have this verse. 1. Numbers 23:19 (KJV) : God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? *God is not a man. 2. Mathew 26:39: Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” *God pray to other God. 3. John 20:17, Jesus said, Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" *Jesus can easily say Go to your God and I am your God, instead he said: "TO MY GOD and YOUR GOD".

This verse not directly says God can never be in human form. This says that God is not "like" humans who lie and not fulfill what they're saying 1 Corinthians 5:21 - He made Him who knew No SIN to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him Romans 5:12 - Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to ALL MEN because ALL SINNED

(This verse is connected to John 1:1) John 1:1 - In the BEGINNING was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD Jesus is the Son of God even before He was born in Bethlehem Exodus 3:14- "And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you." ... This is what you are to say to the Israelites: "I AM HAS SENT ME TO YOU"

Every prophet in their time they were the way the truth and the life. because they were conveying to their people the true word of God, and the true way to live and worship God so of course Jesus (PBUH) was what he staited but that doesn't mean he was God, that just means that he was a link between God and the Human in that time

Here what means son of God 😊, that's way in the revised version of the Bible they took off the word "begotten", every prophet who's led by the word of God (the father ) are his sons, even us a human who have strong belief and faith in God, we are his sons 😊, that doesn't make us Gods 😊, nor that make Jesus a god 😊, He was one of the most respected prophets of God, he was one of the top 5 most beloved prophets of God , but in no case a God John 17:3 " Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. " This verse clearly says that the father is the only true God and Jesus is his messenger 😊

MashaAllah.. Dr. Zakir Naik has such a vast knowledge.. that any Genuine person with a Clean n Open Heart listens to him.. have very high chances that he will find the True Path..!!!! 💖😇 and the Important point is that Dr. Zakir Naik repeatedly says in each of his talks that don't believe in him blindly..!! 🧐 Go home.. check all the References from his answers..!! read them.. understand their true meaning and then then make a well informed and TRUE opinion..!!! 🙏 May Allah SWT guide us all to the true path.. and lead us to Jannah.. 💖😇🤲🏻

Hence, me and my Father are not one, and my father is greater than all, including me, but when it comes to sheep, we are one.

Are Jesus has another God? Because God can't pray to other God because he is God. 2. In John 20:17, Jesus can easily say to your God and I am your God, instead, he said to your God and my God.

I could say the father said that and not Jesus, either way the bible was written by people and their Ideas on God. The bible misses many verses in mathew. The true Gospel that was revealed to Jesus does not exist today. The real Torah that was revealed to Moses does not exist today. The Quran that was revealed to Mohammad is memorized by hundreds of millions word by word.

Yes, he was the ambassador that the president sent to another country to represent his sender. So was Jesus too. If you see Jesus, you see the one who sent him. But that doesn't mean that Jesus was God himself. Noo. He just wanted to say that his message, his deeds, his mission were from God, and anybody who follows him follows God

In addition jésus peace be upon him be send only to his people( Israël to worship only Allah) not to humanity. It's mohammad peace be upon him, the only prophet send to humanity. Jésus has never heard Christian name in his whole life. Worship only your creator while it's time.

A Muslim man died and he said he saw the leg of jesus, that if he can put that leg on this world that it will perish, what he said I didn't believe, I believe he died yes ,this man died cause the man was living beside my house ,I know his mosque he is a Alfa, a Alhaji that went to mecca in 2016, this Man truly died.. cause I see it with my two eyes and I know when he died but he got the chance to wake up and came back to life, but he said he saw the leg of jesus in heaven.. if this man was a Christian I will said he is lie that he want to win the souls of people to accept jesus or people to convert to christianity, no he is not a Christian he is a Muslim original muslim a man that can go to mecca he is Muslim, am now wonder when he is saying it to us, that how can a Muslim man died and saw the leg of jesus, why not Mohammed why can't he saw Mohammed or God the Allah directly, if he can saw the leg of jesus then he suppose to saw the head of Mohammed and the hand of God too, why can't he saw God the Allah directly. .
