It's been difficult trying to capture this footage during less busier times. The village is right along a busy main road. Get a E- BIKE/SCOOTER and you can do a quick recording and then slow it down for the viewers 😂

The love which shaped and still shapes the landscape seeps into one's heart and mind. This in spite of the traffic at the start. Shakespeare knew what he was talking about when he spoke of "this blessed plot...this England.

The most beautiful English village with the most beautiful and cosy little church I ever seen.

What a great shame these beautiful villages are drowned in traffic now! The lovely thatched houses look so romantic & it only takes imagination to remember how things use to be. Beautiful video & walk. Thankyou.☺️

I absolutely adore thatched cottages, so this video fills my heart with joy. One is even prettier than the next and I find myself wanting to buy nearly all of them, haha. I wanted to suggest the same thing another person in the comments asked: can you do this walk again in summer time? It looks amazing any time time of year, but It would be wonderful to see the beauty of the cottages along the lane with flowers in bloom and lush greenery. Wonderful video, I love it!

Not many people go to church in England anymore they are closing down and getting converted into apartments.And especially GEN Z they haven't got time for religion anymore there religion is social media and its funny we call ourselves a Christian country when we are not anymore..

What an absolutely gorgeous village. I love these thatched roofed cottages! I don't know how long a thatched roof lasts compared to a shingled roof but they sure look fantastic. My Love goes out to the people of Sandy Lane, you have such a beautiful Village & Church! Thanks for another Great Sunday walk in the English countryside Kevin!!!

I was speaking to a chap in my village a couple of years ago, who was thatching a roof. He reckons anywhere between 20 and 40 years. The one he was replacing was about 40 years old and didn't look too bad to me. But I passed by a few weeks later and the new roof looked amazing. It's weathered now but still look pristine.

I was taken by surprise, and my jaw hit the floor, when I saw the church was built completely out of wood! And your right, it's beautiful! Your so use to seeing the unique stone and brick homes and churches, to see a complete wooden church is quite the surprise. I think the church is more beautiful than any other large brick and detailed architect buildings and stained glass windows of other churches. Thank you for taking us there. I do enjoy these videos. 💞

Да,и фильмы про Шерлок Холмса тоже напоминают!Эти пряничные домики с соломеными и камышовыми крышами великолепны,вот этот толстый слой камыша который накапливается за столетия и делает эти домики похожими на пряничные😊!Потому что я смотрел видео о соломенных крышах Англии и там говорилось что крышу перекрывают один раз в 25 лет,и оказывается неубирают старый слой,а просто сверху укладывают новый,а вот коньки крыш меняют полностью!И как я знаю нет одинаковых коньков,а каждый индивидуален как печать мастера!😊👍👍👍

Thank-you, Kevin, for taking me where I cannot go. In some places, this looks like a fairy garden come to real life. I’ve only recently taken an interest in building some fairy gardens, and I took a screen capture of one of these houses as I would like to have a go at making a model of it. The English certainly have a talent for growing thick and lovely hedges. Thank-you for taking us into the church. It must be very old as they are propping it up with flying buttresses. As someone else posted, I wouldn’t mind a return walk in another season.

Even though I live in a very rural area, at 6:45 AM, there would be people walking their dogs, riding bikes, jogging, working in their gardens, or simply having a cup of coffee or tea. Consequently, it seems odd to me that villages are so deserted.

Two of my great aunts lived in Sandy Lane, but my favourite cottage was known as Mrs Duck's Thatch. I still have a Country Life article on Sandy Lane to remind me of my childhood. I cannot now remember which house was theirs or their last names. It is 65 years since I last visited.

Love the sound of a dog barking in the distance..now and then. it is such a country sound. I muted the sound until the traffic cleared. i love the frogs too. you have a very sensitive micrphone. What are those birds that seem to be everywhere you go? they certainly sound very busy..i have noticed the same bird calls in other videos of the /english countryside. the cottages are very lovely and the hedges are spectcular and seem very ancient. Thank you for this lovely walk. form🇺🇸
