I have a couple of these and for the money it's a great little machine. My 4 year old loves them.

I removed the main board and replaced it with a receiver for my transmitter (FS-GT3B) and a single 10A brushed ESC for both motors, took the steering mechanism apart and changed it to a servo inside the casing using the original servo arm, and changed the battery to a 2S Li-Ion, and this thing has REALLY changed!! I now have fully proportional steering and throttle, as well as the extra power from the Li-Ion, and my model goes absolutely anywhere now!! $5 for the receiver, another $5 for the ESC, the servo is one I had lying around (a larger 16g one with metal gearing), and the battery I made out of 2 old Nokia batteries!! I also added 4 SMD type white LEDs on the top fake light cluster to make it look even better!!

cool! where did you buy the reciever and the esc and what brand are they? I want to make my crawler fully proportional too

so i just bought 2 of these, and there was a promotion for 3-7 day priority shipping from china for FREE!!!!! I paid 54$ and change for 2. i got a red and green. I plan on doing hobby grade electronics, and 4 wheel steering. Cheers and thanks for the vid!

I have bough one of those HB 666 Rock Crawlers and in green color as well. These things are comparable if not better to the well known Maisto Rock Crawler Extreme. The must do's with this Crawler are getting yourself some super glue and glue the tires to the rims, so you get all the power and no skid from the rubber tire, also a bigger capacity battery wich is easy to find and cheap. I can say that it can take a 7.4v LiPo that you can find easily as well for drones, but the speed gets so ridiculously high that it's almost a drawback rather than a benefit. 4.8v batteries give it adecuate speed/power ratio. I'm having a lot of fun as well with this RC, it's a recommended purchase from me.

+Habieru84 Well said, Glue the tires is an option to get full power out, but that will over load motors :) I have one in Red Color, I might get that out later :D to some more fun.

+RC Hunter I can not confirm for sure, since i did not take apart any of the motor enclosures. But i am almost certain that they are very low geared 180 size motors, the bottom side of the motor that can be seen underneat is flat, and that is common to all 180 size motors as far as i know.

i remember this rc i bought this one year ago and front motor stopped working 1 week of use

2 months from Gearbest, about as fast as the shipping speed Call it the "Conqueror"... that what it has embedded in the plastic. Perfect for kids who cant drive slow and hit things alot. Should take the circuit board out and coat it with liquid tape before hitting the puddles. It also has an outlet at 5v on the board for lights, lol.

If your kid is always wanting to play with your hobby crawler, I would definitely get them this. would be fun climbing together.

+Jim H i paid $60 bux more or less for an SCX10 deadbolt. I trim the throttle to a good speed and let my 2 year old son steer it. Yea he bashes, rolls, and drives straight into bushes, and guess what? I don't care! Sadly I like the toy grade stuff even more than my axial line up. I get a wicked satisfaction from upgrading the hell out of toys

I bought mine for at least 2 years now and trying to restore it. The shocks are rusted and was trying to replace or repaint them. Now that I saw this, did it really help?

Amazing crawler, amazing weeds can manage to grow within those rocks!

+alishanmao You would be better off boiling them and then making a dough with flour and water, then frying them in peanut oil. That is what my Italian mother does when she picks them:)

+alishanmao They are all over, but in this frame at 10:09, the right wheel is touching one of the dandelions (weeds). I would not trust those to eat, go to store and get what is called dandelions.

I would just glue on some bigger wheels😆. I have gotten a similar crawler but I put an actual hobby grade esc and reciver with a 3s so I am actually able to do some crawling. Kinda suprised I have not blown it up with the 3s yet i like trippled its stock speed.

i have a 2wd hobby grade RC that I run and do dirt track and gravel drifting in and my 5yo daughter has showed interest in getting an RC aswell however she is quite young and lacks the ability to actively run throttle and steering at the same time smoothly so I have looked at one of these for her as a learner car... wanted to get something cheap that doesn't matter if she bashes and still has enough power and clearance that it wont just spent 90% of the time stuck on gravel rocks... would you consider this worth my time and money to get her? our RC time has turned into our own little father daughter bonding time and I don't want to lose that just because she doesn't have her own truck to drive with me

If it had proportional control you wouldn't have wheel spin, because you could ease into the throttle instead of instant full power.

Just got this for my son as a Christmas present but I'm having a problem, the indicator light on the transmitter blinks red 2 minutes after he drives it then the truck stops working, the battery in the truck is fully charged so I don't understand why I'm getting this problem. How long is this truck suppose to run on a full charge and what can be causing this problem?

Seeing as the battery pack is only nicad and not lipo do you think it would be ok to convert it to run on standard AA batteries? A set of Eneloop pros would offer nearly 4 times the mah. I know that lipo batteries have MUCH greater current but as far as I know nicad isn't very different from nimh in terms of internal resistance so in theory an AA conversion could provide much better runtime with a cheap and fast charging power source, a couple of sets of eneloops could potentially get hours of runtime. I've very tempted to experiment with this mod, if the standard battery pack was lipo I wouldn't even dream of doing it but as it's nicad I'm not sure there would be much of a negative impact on performance, just a greatly increased run time, thoughts?

I have the same toy and it's not bad actually. Not like I'm pro or anything but I liked it

I was using this toy and it was perfectly working fone. However i used a higher voltage battery and since then it has stopped working.pls advise if i can change the chip inside the car and where do i get one?

This is an upgraded version of the Miasto crawler which came out few years ago. There are easy mods you can do to this. I have one its fun out of the box and more fun after some lil mods.. changing the motors to more powerful one is easy and if you know how to solder you can add connectors for better batteries.. and adding lights to it makes it look cooler ever more..

It needs more weight to create more friction, As the toy is lightweight it cant create enough friction due to which wheels loose grip on the ground while climbing up.

Sorry, you are not correct. It needs a propotional digital electronic speed controller. Not more weight.

The motor on the driving shaft probably is destroyed or worn out

It centers out it setting lower than a large scale it is lighter...I don't understand why its said that it don't have any power after it's been running for a while and wonder why it can't clime get real great demo

Would probably destroy the motor since it runs on a 3v~4v motor, hence the 4.8v battery

Hello ! I bought the exact same crawler for fun but it proved to have a good chassis. Although mine does not have a rechargeable battery pack inside but instead 4X1.5 V (AA) batteries. How many V is your battery pack cause it seems to have more power than mine? Also, is there any way you modded yours (motors, servo, esc etc..) ? Great video by the way. Thank you in advance!!

Buy larger scale with 8.4v nicad pack. Upgrading to hobby class will be easier with the larger chsssis. 4AA batteries=6v So speed is reduced. 8.4v nicad packs have 7 cells, so you'll have longer run duration.

I agree, a speed control would've made this extremely fun. BTW if anyone was wondering, the hobby grade rc that this toy imitates is the Vaterra Slick Rock, which is over 200 dollars.
