    Nice work mate, you helped a bunch of us out! I had been making header boxes out of timber and they just never work out. Such a great tip, I'm making one this week. Cheer buddy. I appreciate your time and effort as tbh I can't get out much as I'm injured and unwell. I can only make it out to the creek once a month for an hour and I just collect my dirt and run it at home at my own pace. One hour of being in the creek ends me up in bed for a few days. My back is screwed as well as my hands but I love it. So yeh long way around saying thanks mate we appreciate you. ✌️

    Nice to see you wearing a baseball cap the correct way round. Not so sure why you would be wearing it indoors though. I have seen nothing that suggests you have a crown that needs to be hidden - in fact of crowns deserving merit , yours is in fact right up there. Now to watch how I may build a power head , and hopefully modify it somewhat to suit my purpose. Thanks for making this tutorial.

    G’day Joe, the mat I used is called v mat. I got a metre of it from Bunnings for about $20 and have used it on a couple projects now. I just cut it to size with a knife, just make it tight enough that it doesn’t have any big gaps down the sides. The header box will hold it in place! Thanks for watching. I hope this helps 👍👍

    Another couple. What diameter tube you use for this header box ? And , are the discs really necessary ? I suppose with the way your sluice flare has been designed , they may well be. But if the sluice box had enough flat wall surface , could you just cut the header as a tight fit into the sluice , maybe use a piece of cut car inner tube as a washer to make it a nice sealed tight fit - would that work ? And one more - How high above the sluice bed do you have the bottom of your header , or is it actually sitting on it ?

  • @piratescrew1869

    @piratescrew1869

    Жыл бұрын

    65mm diameter pipe and the end caps are necessary on my sluice but I’m sure it would work if you just sealed it anyway. Depends on how many times you think you will use it. You want about the same width of your sluice above the mat to get even distribution of your material down the mat. Any shorter and you have to spread it out when you feed it.👍👍

    Do you have any issues regarding water trying to sneak up the sluice and dripping out the wrong end ? And how do you keep the hose from popping out of the header hole ? I know you said it is a snug fit , but is that it ?

I figure you be pleased that at least one of your viewers chose to make one , I mean why did you post the tutorial right ? But I wonder if you be pleased if another KZreadr made a tape of your design and posted it ? I can mention and link where the design came form. But I'm not so sure if you really need someone who doesn't like Poofters tainting your channel. Anyway , let me know where you stand on these topics I have raised. But I will be using your design in the field in a future tape just the same. With or without reference to your good self.
