Thank you Segun Sowunmi for confirming that APC strategists are more in tune with Nigerian political landscape than your party, PDP. You could have, as well told the world that you lost the elections as a result of ill preparation. To build a virile nation, every citizen must respect the national institutions and submit to the supremacy of such instructions. They must bear in mind that once a process is concluded, politicking, attack on persons and all shenanigans of electioneering must stop forthwith. Atiku failed this litmus test of building a nation and he did so woefully. His sojourn to America was more about desperation than for any other reason particularly when the matter had been dealt with more than two decades ago.

#miconpodcast Otunba Segun Sowunmi did justice to the issues or discourse. However, there might be some loopholes and disagreements I have with some points raised. My major concern is the ethnic division and fanning the embers of disunity in Nigeria. LP, PDP and APC do have their political ideologies but non should supercede that of Nigeria. Hence, I forsee same scenario if this current political situation continues by 2027. May we witness it. All the best to us all.

Oga you dont know what you are talking about, peter is a visionary who people believe and invested in stop gas lighting him. He replicated those thoughts practically when he was governor go and verify. We will dismantle all of those criminality apc and pdp built as a structure, and thank god peter obi was independent to do it. It is going to be hard but it will eventually happen. Thier has never been a time Nigerians has been exposed than now, the expoze of all the corrupt institutions are noted into every individual, all that remains is for the poor masses to put into practice what they have all learnt, coupled with anger, and then the spark will come. Nobody knows how it would look like but it would surely be televised organically. You want a dave umahi puppet so you people will continue to corrupt and loot through him. Sorry obi leaving the PDP was a blessing in disguise, if obi was in the pdp it would have been business as usual. We will take back our country insha allah, i hope you see what is going on in the north kano and kaduna. No worries the citizens are all awoke, just that spark and its boom

The problem of this country as sowunmi rightly pointed out is the way the civil war ended. No Victor no vanquished but that is not what is playing out. There was no proper reconciliation measures. They just said it with mouth but actions taken after that says otherwise. How can an igbo man contest election in 2023 and yorubas and hausas are swearing that due to the events of the 60s that no igbo man will be president of Nigeria. And we say we're one nation. If we all equally contribute to the development of this nation then why is it that an igbo man should never be president? Igbos supported obasanjo over ojukwu in 2003,igbos supported Abiola in 93 and an igbo man was the inec chairman and despite intimidation from military he declared Abiola president. Igbos supported yar adua, igbos supported buhari against Jonathan in 2015 and yet they say igbos are the tribalistic one

The truth of the matter is that, the Yorubas and Hausas turned it into tribal war. Igbos never supported obi based on tribe but based on capacity. The Yorubas and Hausas started saying that Igbos can never be the president of Nigeria. That statement alone brought back the experience from the Biafra war

Otumba Segun Sowunmi has always impressed his eloquence and good reasoning. He has been very inspiring to me. But he is disappointing in this interview. He showed he is a human that can at times be biased. And painfully this raises a question to his understanding of the leadership question in Nigeria: the core problem and the way forward. Any leader in Nigeria who does not appreciate the problem of waste and the importance of frugality in governance should forget. It is most unfortunate that Otumba Segun still can’t make a meaning of the drive of the pan-Nigerian movement, the Obidient Movement. Otumba, that movement was and is still being driven by a national acknowledgement and attractions to FRUGALITY IN GOVERNANCE and not any other primordial identities as the political would want us to believe. With due respect, Segun’s comments p here about Peter Obi only reminds one of what the Pharisees said of Jesus Christ and his miracles; attributing them to the power of Beelzebub. Nigeria goes no where without altruism and frugality in governance. You were attracted to Wike’s waste of his state’s money on your political party activities. Nigeria goes no where with this mindset.

Segun you have lost ur strongest supporter I never now u are a triberlist. A true patriotic Nigerian is he who goes and invests in every part of the country with out hesitant. So u are condemning the Igbo for taking part of the election in Lagos. If an Igbo man is a Nigerian he’s has every right to vote anywhere he resides. You did not condemn the killing of the Igbos in Lagos. You the Yorubas are the problem of the this and we can see the complete destruction of the Nigerians under the Yorubas. The early we divided the country the better for very. Because the Igbo are no longer willing to take the back seat anymore. Obi was winning the election u guy’s convinced to off the cyber network. We can either choose to move forward or we all perish. No one must be cheated

Initially, Segun Sowunmi said he was going to say it the way it is but along the line, Mr started playing games with words and not being truthful. They're all the same 😅

I respect chief segue but in this interview he failed.Atiku would’ve won that election being a northerner after buhari.he would’ve advice Atiku to rally around a southerner knowing fully well how APC messed up before the election,I bet you pdp would’ve won that election with too much margin.

Otunba is so self-consumed it’s almost narcissistic! He is bright, eloquent and intelligent but he needs to respect other people’s opinion. Unfortunately, he is pushing an Atiku agenda.

It's very easy to blow grammar but you can not be belittling an election because the court did not disqualify a man over his certificate, you still have not shown us that more people voted for any candidate more than tinubu. When all is said and done, more people voted for tinubu more than atiku and obi. Whether he is qualified or not is another subject.

He started very well and then jumped into campaign mood. Peter Obi never drove any agenda tribalism or encouraged insulting opposition. But in summary he still spoke like a deceitful politician.
